Say what you like. Every time you change your angle the stats keep on pointing to Woods proving you wrong. I won't say he is the best prop in the comp but he is doing very well despite your inability to admit it.

Woods is okay but just doesn't do any damage at all. Look at the tries George Burgess is plundering and the skills of players like Bromwich and Graham. He is not a plodder - just has plod-like tendencies. When I lined up against England I had no fear about him dominating.

i've rated bromwich the best prop in the game based on performance over an extended period of time (say 2 years). if woods can keep up those sort of numbers up for a season to 2 solid, then he will surpass them all easily

Because woodsy is delivering not just better but unheard of numbers for a prop over a reasonable stretch of games.

Will he continue at that rate? Probably not but IF he does he will deserve #1 status.

I haven't seen performances like woodsys since Rodney Howe, but I doubt woodsys taking anything other than pot

And no Bromwich wasn't widely regarded as best prop, there was a thread as recent as 2 months ago where most people here had him at 5

Doesn't bend the line, doesn't hit hard enough on D, but he's got a great work rate and a massive frame.

One of my favourite props going around right now. Looks like the fat kid who didn't get picked, but never gave up. Good on him.

Even the Oz media talking heads and ex players rate Bromwich as the best prop in the game.

I don't understand the Test match calandar, i never have. Why is there an anzac test before the Orisgin series and not after? So players are picked on past form in test matches, and not on season footy, which is only several games in.
Why on earth dont they have test matches at the end of the year. That way players that step up an win games in origin, in do well in the playoffs, final, can be chosen to represent thier country?
As for the team itself, this team is crap! This is their 3rd loss in a row. As the commentators said, at half time it was the biggest defecit in a very long time.
I have no beef with any of the melbourne players (Smith, Slater), theyve all earned the right to wear the green and gold but everyone else, needs to be carefully examined.
This is one of the worst sides we'e had in a long time.
Thier defence is terrible, they have trouble scoring points.
And why wasnt greg bird stood down whilst he was under criminal investigation???

This is nowhere near the worst Aussie side of all time either. There have been times where we have picked Michael Crocker at five eighth, or Darren smith basically out of retirement to fill in, plodders like joel Clinton at prop, Phil bailey, Russell Richardson, reni matua, David Williams etc.

The kiwis are better than us at the moment. It's a good thing and gives us something to aim for. Perhaps we will now see the benefit of international rugby league and not have years off because we're a bit tired. Stop with the hysteria.

There should never be a time when the kiwis are better than us.....at anything. I get annoyed when they beat us at cricket. But for the kiwis to currently be better than australia is plain old bs.

I dont know what the answer is but heads have to roll. Get rid of sheens and get Bellamy in there. Any player that doesnt truly deserve to be in the team needs to be cut. Just rebuild the team from scratch.
