Why do people hate the Roosters???

I think, underneath it all, everyone hates the Roosters for the same reason they hated the Broncos in the early 90s and the Sea Eagles in the middle. They're the benchmark, and Australian's traditionally hate a tall poppy and love an underdog.

Personally, I don't like many of their players (Flannery, Fitzgibbon, and Morley are it), hate a lot of their crew (particularly Crocker and Walker, who are just dirty), and don't respect a club that relies so heavily on purchasing outside talent. Some of the stories I hear about the 'fringe benefits' their players get are just disgusting and disrespectful of the salary cap.

hahaha thats true...poor manly! back when i was 14 i decided to pick the team my dad hated the most and barrack for them. he was a norths supporter so of course i picked...MANLY! and i was a crazed manly fan for about 2 years and then lost interest in footy altogether. i guess that means im a deserter but i was only a youngin! i still have a soft spot for steve menzies though ;-)

I hate the Roosters because Finch has buck teeth, Cayless is left handed, Gould drives a Toyota, Fittler lives in Clovelly, Stuart has curly hair and Politis is Greek oh and that Cogburn is a dickhead! and also they have no juniors, they have bandwagon supporters, they poach everyone's players and the bistro at Easts leagues club doesn't cook the veges properly :lol:
