I live in the Shire, but my dad went for Saints (thank god) and thats basically why I support them, because my whole family does.

 You live in the shire?

Aren't you the same Red V that is always paying it out (for what reason I don't know, it's obviously God's count ry.)

We don't mind if you move to Kogarah or better still, Wollongong.

No I have never payed out the Shire, only the swamp you call......well I don't know what its called now, but I'm sure it will change soon. :D Why would I pay out the place I live in? I just dislike the Sharks, even though I live in that area.

Well, no one could hate the Shire anyway. Some of your fellow supporters pretend to, but they really love it and are just jealous.

Maybe but I wouldn't know thats there opinions about the shire, all I know is that my area is represented by the Sharks, and there's no way I was ever going to support a team like that   So instead I opted for what my dad did and thats to follow the Mighty Saints.

But when Saints supporters or anyone say stuff about the Shire it doesn't bother me because I just presume its a hit at the Scum, so I don't care and I agree. :) I actually like the rivalry between sharks and saints fans....it's great, especially because its such an easy battle to win. ;-)

Yeh exactly my point, I don't care what anyone says about ME personally because no one has ever seen or met me, thats why I don't say crap about anyone else because I havn't met them either, I just talk about your team and footy, which is what this place is for anyways.
:D

That's true. This place is for footy and nothing personal should ever come into it, however, when you start calling all Sharks fans "scum", you are kinda being hypocritical. Once you did that, you brought it on yourself.

I don't hate all St. Geo - Illa supporters, just the ones who think they are the Royal family of Rugby League. You are probably one of these people. Not sure yet. Shire Shark certainly has your measure though.

A team which you have nothing personally to do with.
A team that does not even know of your existance.
A team which you simply 'follow'.
And you claim some sort of high ground, like you had anything to with any success or failure of that team.
You simply chose a team, yet claim their success and history as your own.
You are a fool of the highest order.
Go play with the traffic like the nice little mind that you are.

No way, I have NEVER called the supporter Scum, I sometimes refer to the TEAM as Scum! Not the fans. Every time I use the word scum its in context with the team and nothing else. Not that, that makes the whole thing better ;-)

How else was I going to choose my team, I was brought up following saints because my dad did, what wrong with that? And none of those statements are true, I am one of the most passionate supporters anyone would ever meet, and I think my team knows every supporter and acknowlegdes every one of them, so don't go rubbishing around.

How could you call the team scum? Just because we beat you guys more often than not. I don't hold anything against any of your players (most of them are Steelers, well the good ones, anyway).

It's the fans I have the problem with. They seem to think that they are somehow above every other team. Well, I am afraid you are just the same as every other team's supporters.

St. George won 11 straight comps. It all stopped when Cronulla Sutherland broke away from them though. That makes me laugh.

Its just a nickname for a team I don't like, just like other teams have including saints. Also I think I am the same as every other supporter...if they have the same passion and pride that I do and love their team like me. I never said you or anyone was lower than me.

I doubt we'll ever agree on much anyway. I am a fairly objective guy and I don't have any name except for St. Geo - Illa for your guys. I don't care where they finish on the ladder next year as long as we beat em, I don't wish for them to come last, but if they did, it wouldn't bother me too much. :D

Hi all,

I am proud to support the Sydney Roosters. i am 29 years old, and have lived in the Eastern Suburbs my whole life. My dad has taken me to watch the roosters play since i was a 2 year old, where I would sit on his shoulders calling out 'roosters". I did stray for a few years to Souths (I'm still not sure why - a moment of insanity :D ), but then returned back to my beloved roosters!!!

I have to say, I am a bit dissapointed at how much flack we cop on all these forums - I heard this was a great forum to join cos everyone is normal without too much team bashing - but instead of reading about who and why fans support their teams, i have read bickering and fighting, particularly about my roosters!!

I love my roosters, but i also love my rugby league - before you critcise my team, critcise your own. None of us are perfect, premiers or not - by the way CONGRATS to all panthers fans for the premiership in 2003 - its a good feeling to win isn't it - I can't wait to play your team again thsi year!!

What a year of footy 2004 is going to be!!

GO THE MIGHTY ROOSTERS!!!!!!

You're still not sure????

Maybe when Souths were winning and the Roosters were losing...then when Souths started to under-perform and the Roosters improved you returned to your "beloved" Roosters.
You just proved what everyone says about Roosters fans.
