Why don't we ever "raid" Union?

f**k I find it cringey the way Gus and co. go on about Union. So insecure.

He's the best young talent in the game, I think it's a smart decision from RU. Definitely going to bring them some profile, good luck to him and them.

He’s the third best fullback at the roosters and that’s why he left

the roosters made the right call extending Tedesco
Agreed
he's very young and who knows what might have been if he stuck around in RL and eventually played fullback, might have been he developed into a star
But based on what i saw from him last year, he's sooo far off being at Teddy or Manu's level as a fullback.

How many pages ?
Have you ever seen a bible? The book would be about that thick...

And yes, to answer what the guy in the video was saying. I'm happy for the Wallabies to lose every single match they play. All good with me. In fact, if the All Blacks continue their current downward trend I'm happy with that too.

The Kiwis Kangaroo rivalry is about to enter a golden age with the amount of Kiwi talent in the NRL and if we get it right (NZ, Aus, Tonga, Samoa) we could really have something special on our hands.

Also, funny how the pompous bloke is talking about Brandon Smith being a ''fool'' for attacking Union. So, he can't attack Union, but you can make personal attacks on him? Ok dickhead. It must really burn Union types when NZers are bagging the game - lol

he's not even an origin player yet. It is a dumb decision by the ARU $1.6M for an unproven guy. Piss of the rest of the Wallabies or fringe Wallabies, blow the little money you have left on a winger. The ARU and Eddie Jones haven't learnt from 20 years ago. They blew their war chest paying league guys overs and ended up broke because of it.

Now, having said all that. I will not be standing in the way of Union draining their bank accounts further and sending themselves into a greater downwards spiral. Long may it continue

The challenge. Regardless of the status of RL outside of Australia, the NRL houses some of the best Rugby talent in the world and as it's brand grows, the lure of challenging yourself in that environment is very appealing.
Arguably the best Rugby comp in the world.
We need to lose the " Arguably " and that's a wrap. We are within striking distance of becoming THE comp to play in if you want to be undeniable. Team 18 NZ . When we put the best comp on the doorstep of the best Union has... huge step.

I'd love if the Nick Politis and co start bidding for current Wallabies now!
Not because they want them but just to make them overpay for their current squad.
We could bankrupt RA by September.

Because he hasn't played Origin he's unproven? Let's not act like he's a run-of-the-mill outside back, he's the best young player in the game and has a history in RU already.

If paying $1.6m is going to send the RA broke, their bread is already buttered so may as well throw a hail mary or two.

How is that relevant? I'm not arguing that they paid peanuts for Suaalii but I think it's an investment which will pay dividends. I'd argue Suaalii is of more value to RU than both Tedesco and Cleary because he has a history and a desire to play RU. He shouldn't take long to 'acclimatize' and will be an absolute weapon in 2025 regardless of code.

He’s the 3rd best fullback at the roosters

the fact he’s almost one of the highest paid union players in the world is hilarious

teddy or Cleary would destroy union defences

Don't give them any ideas.

Funny how Union fans can't understand why league hates them...
I think the time is right to declare war.
PVD should give each NRL club an additional 1.5 million pa - salary cap exempt- that can be spent on any capped Wallaby...
Let's play.

Forget the 15 man game, Rugby 7s is where the NRL and NRLW should be targeting

Young athletes with plenty of tomorrows and not many bad habits drilled in

Only have to look at how well Lachlan Miller is going to see there could be big benefits

Warbrick at the Storm has gone alright as well this year. Sadrugu at the Cowboys is on the verge of first team selection after a solid year in Queensland Cup.

Definitely worth looking over Rugby 7’s and picking off a few here and there.

History, in all sporting codes, is dead set littered with "The best young player in years" players.

How many were? Really REALLY were? In hindsight?

Hindsight is 20/20, we all know that. But jeez, he's only 1 player. Let him go. If he succeeds his value is judged by his success, if he doesn't then likewise.

Risk/Reward, ballsy move at his age, but it's his life and career. Unless the whispers in his ear are a little too "dominant"
