its wrong to say collingwood have the most feral supporters the have they most in victoria but its port for sure. sa in general have more feral ppl in there state and port are a sa version of collingwood. in fact they tried to make collingwood change there magpies name when they join the afl cause they had been around longer. there both just shocking clubs in the scum area of their citys.

Not rubbish.

The CFC is the most recognized sporting brand in the country, regardless of it's supporter demographic.

Yes we have ferals, every club does. The reason we have more, is that we have more supporters than any sporting club in Australia, it's academic.

The flip side is that the typical demographic of a CFC has and is changing. Ever since the 20's with urban sprawl, the typical CFC supporter is moving or is middle class.

We are the most famous sporting club in Australia.

If you want a rugby league analogy, we are the St. George of the AFL times about 10.

Rubbish.

It's because Collingwood fans are mongrel dogs by nature.

The illustrious leader of your cheer squad for instance (For anyone in NSW, the famous dill who used to wear a gold jacket when they were winning) took a f***ing swing at my girlfriend after they beat us by a point a few months ago & my best friend (Also female) was attacked by a group of his female friends. With that kind of leadership amongst your fans is it really any suprise that the rest of the support base are filthy dogs?

There is a sickness in that club and it attracts the lowest type of fan.

The good news is though I beleive Joffa got a touch up on the way home on the train - He certainly didn't travel to Perth the following week.

I might get my son to support another team.

I dont want him ending up like this.

Bullshit.

Essendon is more supported than Collingwood now.

Just because you have a legion of bandwagon jumpers who jump on when successful - Which is Collingwood terms, is winning more than 5 games (How many premierships have we won in the last 60 years scumbags?) - Means nothing. Collingwood are lucky to have McGuire, because without him you'd be nothing.

u gotta remember that essendon give away 5000 memberships per season so dont go on memberships as most fans if u were going to go by that then port have the most fans and collingwood and hawthorn have the most in melb

I don't recall mentioning the word membership??
& I think you mean Adelaide, not Port Adelaide

lol

I'm talking about speaking footy with people on a day by day basis. More identify themselves as Essendon fans (Especially young people) than the Skunks.

Collingwood hasn't been genuinely successful since the 1950s (in ultimate premiership terms, at least), but key figures at the club are ever and always oblivious to this reality. As such, they bang-on at every opportunity about how Collingwood is "THE BE ALL AND END ALL" of AFL football and as a consequence all other clubs and fans owe them big time and should get down on their knees and worship them 24/7. When this is the line being pushed from the top, its little wonder that the rank & file show a clear tendency for mirroring such overt obnoxiousness.

At the end of the day, its painfully noticeable that Collingwood fans prattle on about being the ultimate force in professional national football, while at the same time falling back on a flag four-peat achieved 8 decades ago in what was essentially an amateur suburban league as their primary claim to fame...

So Collingwood is basically AFL's answer to the Dragons?

yes exactly but collingwood has lost more GF's the the saint  :lol;

well that's just bull. I'm a true West Coast fan but don't have membership because i live on the other side of the country. I haven't got Knights membership cause i don't live near there either.

my sister goes to 80-90% of eagles home games but is not a member because she can not afford too.

to answer why i think the pies are the most hated club, i think it's mainly to do with the supporters. for example their last home game at their old stadium they threw cans and bottles at the opp team cause the pies were losing. Eddie and Buckley have also added to this hatred.

Collingwood have the most fanatical one eyed supporters

Its not really the club thats hated, its the fan base that spoil it for the club imo

Wasn't that game against Fremantle?

The Dockers beat them in Melbourne?!

Because you won a lot before any of us were born, and are not likely to win again in the forseeable future?

That's why Collingwood are black n white cause that's what colour televisions were when they won 14 of there 15 premierships.

good call . The stripes also represent the bars that half of their fans should be imprisoned behind as well.

For once i agree with meltiger re: Essendon having more fans. Although, this is in part due to young people seeing essendon win in 2000 & 1993. In contrast - Collingwood havent won a premiership since 1990 - but wasnt it great to see them lose back to back grand finals though... :thumnn

Its just a known fact, if you arnt a pies fan, you hate them!!

Its like the Oakland Raiders in the NFL, (also black and white colours lol..)
They have ferals as fans and hence why they are hated so much. Also players often do things to cause the general public to hate them even more.

GRR i hate collingwood.. (As all richmond fans should! :D )

Yes, yes we do. :)

It is Adelaide, they and West Coast are the only two clubs I know of to have ever had 'waiting lists' in Australia.
