Why is Collingwood hated?

up till the mid 50's they won all the time or played in the finals
made grandfinals in 1917 to 20, 22, 25 to 30, 35 to 39
a lots of wins and made the finals nearly EVERY year
people hate winners [if its not your team!]
then on they got the "collywobbles" started coming 2nd a lot
won in 53 and 58 but lost 52, 55, 56, 60, 64, 66, 70, 77, 79 to 81
people love to hate the team that chokes, especially when your team wins little or fails to make the finals, pies still rarely missed finals
they have lots of fans/the most popular team, aussies love the underdog

and eddie mc guire and more recent choking have all fuelled that hatred

on a side note I had a collingwood fan enjoying his first game of rugby league at penrith stadium last weekend, as soon as he told us he was a collingwood fan my mate next to me turns and says "d***head"
