When will you get it through the pea that rattles around your thick skull that Perth doesn't have the infrastructure to support an NRL club?

4k players ain't enough.
13k fans watching on TV is disastrous.
Lack of quality corporate support.
Inadequate stadium.
No high performance training centre.

Reliant on funds and players from Queensland. You're a bum with an entitlement complex.

The most destructive and regressive thing the NRL can do is prioritise Perth over Brisbane 3, NZ2 and NZ3. Perth will never grow the talent pool and offers nothing to Test match football. It'll just be a parasite like Melbourne Storm.

You're delusional and stupid.
43k at nrl in Perth this year. (Let that sink in for a moment!)
2.2million people to appeal to
massive corporates company base to appeal to
richest wealth in the country per household
a cashed up state govt happy to spend on club infrastructure
a jnr base not far off some existing nrl clubs in the heartlands
millionaire owners willing to bankroll start up
suitable 20.5k stadium for regular games with state of the art 60k stadium if needed for bigger ones

It really is a no brainer

The funniest thing is you believe all of this shit.

How many of the 43k fans at the double header were tourists?

Venueswest said it wants an NRL team to draw tourists from the east coast.

How many tickets were given away?

In 2020 Cumins said the NRL 9s were a litmus test to show how much interest there is for rugby league in Perth. Just 24k turned up over two days.

4k players across the state is shit.

There's no way you'll get 30 NRL quality players from such a low talent pool that plays in a substandard park football competition.

Stadium is not fit for NRL.

No high performance training centre.

Just 5k people in Perth watch NRL on Foxtel. Only 8k watch on 9Gem. That's the baseline and an indicator of what we can expect from Perth over the course of a season.

an estimated 5-10k. So at least 33k Rugby league fans in perth turned out for a game. Wow who'd have thought it?

about the same as turned up in Sydney for the world nines, wow

4k players is about the same as some heartland regions

yep we wont, good job it will change and we'll have strategies to address that

haha, whilst we see NRL games at Kayo, sunshine coast, Brookvale, Kogorah, Win, LO, Campbelltown, Belmore and Penrith (and possibly port moresby) then HBF park will be just fine.
Besides maybe the WA Govt is about to change it anyway as part of the bid.

Part of what the WA govt will hopefully build us, they've done it for every other sport in perth

Great, loads of opportunity to grow a new tv audience, just what the game needs, new eyes on it.

Storm haven't built much of an audience in Melbourne. Just 13k from Melbourne watched on Foxtel in 2017 and just 12k on 9Gem in 2023.

Everything you've said is speculative. Comparing an entire state to small cities is hilarious and shows you're scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Those grounds you bagged don't host 12 games a year. Just a few. PRS is the best stadium in Perth for rugby league and will host all of the Pirates' games. It's a dump.

Perth isnt Melbourne

Yep, and if it isnt on the table then the NRl shouldn't be admitting Perth. Ive got no problem at all with no Perth club if the business case doesnt stack up.

Not really, each clubs region is its development responsibility. I doubt many clubs have more than 10 players in their first grade squad that are actually from their region. For Perth WA is its development region responsibility. If we can get up to 5,500 registered players that is equivalent to the cronualla-sutherland region numbers. Then its a case of quality of pathways and opportunity.
if in twenty years of admission Perth has 10 WA born and bred players in the first team then its achieved same as most NRl clubs do.

Last time I looked most of them were the clubs main home stadiums. and HBF park is better than all on that list.

You're speculating again. There's no guarantee any of that will happen.

Since when do the Dolphins use Dolphin Oval and Sunshine Coast Stadium as their main stadium?

12 months ago the WA govt committed $1/2mill to developing the business case. Numerous meetings with the CEO and commission later Cumins and the pirates are ready to set sail

NZ2 needs help

Bears need to be told to move to Adelaide.

Bingo our national and international expansion strategy for the next decade. What you waiting for Vlad?

..so no bid.

Tigers ready to go. PNG ready pending fed money..

wonder if Cameron Smith, Billy Slater, Cronk, Munster, Grant etc regret playing for the Storm and living in Melbourne? my guess is that they f**king don't. They weren't stolen or forced to go to Melbourne. Munster had an opportunity to go back to Brisbane on big coin but he turned it down cause he would rather be in Melbourne, hmmm...
How many living in Melbourne once they retire

Theres no guarantees in life lol

I didnt say all, I said most, and dolphins are playing 25% off games there

Can you name a detailed reason why the NRL should choose Perth ahead of PNG, NZ2 and Brisbane3?

I don't want to hear exaggerated claims that cannot be verified. I want solid data on why you think Perth will provide more value to the game than the other locations.

The 6pm Sun AEST timeslot is not a compelling reason that blows the other candidates away. Any club can host this game.

Perth's small player base and 8k FTA/5K PTV television viewers are a liability. The club will struggle to lure players away from Queensland, NSW and NZ. Broadcasters won't pay much for a team in a market that has such a small audience.

The lack of pokies will not provide a Perth-based club with any security.

So what does a Perth-based team have to offer?

The Feds aren't funding a team that will play games in mainland Australia.

And apparently HBF Park is such a rundown shit hole that having games of RL there makes people apoplectic.

But this facility is fine? Keep trolling boys
