If I was to guess, and Ive told you this already, having been bitten before and made to look stupid they may be chosing to keep their cards close to their chest until NRL indicates if Perth is an option. There has been commentary to that effect by both Cumins and Puddy in recent years,

You have no idea the context of it. Maybe they were directly asked : 'Would you like to see another club in Brisbane?" In which case they would answer that.
If you can point me to anywhere any tv exec has been asked "do you want a club in perth?" and they have said its of no value to us then please share it. Otherwise you are adding 1+1 and coming up with an orange.

So all we can say is that they want more se qlds. Don't mention Perth with broadcasters again then.

If you can give me any quote from a tv exec saying they don't want perth then Illl agree. Until then your taking answers to questions about who they do want, ie SEQ as some bizarre indication of who they dont want. Id say they are probably quite neutral about Perth in all likelihood. Has some benefits and potential but not an easy win.

Given FTA paid nothing for 5he last SEQ club and PTV is questionable how much cash they actually paid I wouldnt think its that big of a factor. The real value is in content and the ninth and tenth game, less so in location.
