Why no questions on Kearney?

At least Kearney has shown signs of going up in the last couple of weeks (albeit we do that every year in the mid-season). The litmus test for me is the end of the year, even if we don't finish in the playoffs it will be good to see us finish strong finally.

And recruitment, we badly need one really good prop and a good half, although I get the feeling we'll be missing at least one next year.

I take your point on the forwards, no coach or half can do well when you lose up front.

I'm happy for them for stick to this grinding percentage game for now and earn the right to throw offloads.

Yep, be nice to see more in attack, but if the defence is in order we can compete

Mr Angry protests doth too much for Stacey I detect.

He's 9 games in mate. 4 and 5 isn't outstanding granted, but it's probably our best start in 5 years.

I see some real quality forming. The defensive edge improvements are excellent. He's not scared to see Vatuvei come back via reserve grade. He's made orhe tough calls too.

OMG, is it really - that's just embarrassing... but agree on everything else

I'm surprised that Stacey's mum is a Sharkies fan TBH

The way we defended to win that was magnificent. I'll take seeing my team win a game through heroic defence over arsey bullshit tries any day.

I've been waiting 22 years for them to become a team who can win with their defence.

They way they kept turning up today showed me that they are on board with Kearneys way of doing things.

There were a few games under Cleary- One against the Panthers away where we won with about 30% possession springs to mind. But in general I agree. For me there is no better feeling that seeing your side dig deep and grind out a close win with epic defence. Think of some of the All Blacks wins when they've done that against SA or Aus.

I'd be on board with the way the coach does thing if I was one of the 20 odd off contract this year with seemingly nowhere to go as well.
But yes its good to see that this coach appears to be getting through to them and thing look to be improving.

Consistency has been Kearney's MO. It takes a bit of time.

The thing that is the best outcome from Kearney, everyone in the team looks like they are having an absolute dig.

Agree with all points on Kearney

But
His selection of the interchange baffles me. Is Roache really needed on it. Is he back up for Foran
And Sao playing 20 odd minutes of pure plod is concerning
