Why not use Ellis to scout for ESL talent?

Is it just me or do others also think we have a wasted opportunity in not using Gareth Ellis to scout for talent in the ESL and put in a good word for WT?

I dont know if its been tried and he said no, but if he is amenable it would be a great opportunity having him vouch for our club.

I've almost given up on our club domestically producing boom backrowers. Too many plodders and duds- beginning with Mataka & Trimarchi,

Ellis can actually talk to players about lifestyle. the NRL competition and put in a good word about WT club and culture. TV cant. His word would be more respected than an unknown 'talent scout' for some unknown Australian NRL club who is sniffing around.

Good idea as Gareth would certainly make a perfect ambassador for us in the UK.He has enormous integrity & respect in the rugby league community.

As long as we replace this plodder with someone who at least has the coordination of Stephen Hawking we will be better off.

Even Lovett Sironen and Santi would go well in ESL. Far less superior comp that once in a while produces a decent local talent.
