Why the Panic!

i don't understand this forum sometimes - whenever the Dragons play ordinary or suffer a loss or two - mass panic sets in.

I hope people saw Storm dismantle Broncos last night by 30 points in BRISBANE and today Sharks smash Roosters by 30 points as well - or someone even looking at the early premiership favourites CANBERRA going through paces atm - if we were beaten by the above scores by either team or were even travelling as bad as CANBERRA this forum would melt down !

What I'm saying is to look at our season in a practical sense ! We have a modest roster with a solid forward pack and at this stage the team is sitting comfortably in the top 8.. Yes the team sometimes lacks consistency but that' has more to do with injuries and a shallow roster especially in key positions such as the halves..

Everyone needs to settle down and let the team go through its paces - by making the top 8 this year will be a great achievement for a team everyone had finishing in the last 2 positions.

Have confidence in the Team that proved early on how great they could be - I would be worried if we hadn't demonstrated any sort of form but we as supporters know what the teams capabilities are and hence all the frustration..

Enjoy the rollercoaster its a free ride BUT if u can't handle it - then get off the ride!

I think the level of frustration on this forum this season IS because they have shown us early on what the team is capable of producing!

But the way they have played over the last couple of months, not just the last one or two losses, IS cause for concern!

Mate, I love reading your posts however what are you smoking. Scrape home against the Tigers and Newcastle, not competitive against Dogs, Eels or Titans. No discipline, no attack that's the reality. I want the Dragons to win don't get me wrong, I get angry , I can't sleep properly if I had a dog I'd try and kick it. Watched Melbourne last night, another world away from us, with the current coach we can never reach that level IMO.

Unbelievable post really.
There is no "mass panic" - just comment and criticism as to what is obvious to everyone except you it seems..
We are not talking about "a loss or two" - we are going backwards fast and are in real danger of dropping out of the 8.
Our roster is not the problem and I absolutely denounce the misguided attitude that measures the success of this team by just making the 8.
All teams have injury problems and we actually have a much stronger squad and depth than last year.
We should stop making excuses and start working towards making real changes that will build us into a premiership threat.

You are correct we have shown form of late, the trouble is that it is "piss poor" and reflective of so many prior occasions.
Always love the justification that our clubs performances should be considered tolerable due to the from or results of other teams which is just avoidance of the stark reality of how shit house we are really going.
In response to your last sentence if you can't handle the justifiable criticism and want to live in a bubble, shut the door on your way out.

Me thinks that the money to Hunt was the start of it and Dugan not being retained capped it off.
The playing group had been through a lot and to see a rank outsider being considered the saviour and getting the big $$$ was never going to be palatable.

Not to mention the dogs having been shocking, what happens ................. we play them and we make them look like superstars.
Then the following weeks, they are back to being absolutely pathetic.
We struggled to beat the team coming last.
To me, that is how bad we are going.

Mix this type of form in with previous seasons and the fans can see it all happening again.
Nothing new ................. more of the same.

The only thing improving is the tawny port l'm sampling.
