No point training hard if they're not going to play hard.............
Hot tip straight off the rumour mill: We got this.
You heard it here first.
We got dis
your opinion or actually happening?Tetevano onto the bench. Adams drops off.
Anyone else have a good feeling about this game?
I do...
LINKWests Tigers Captain Robbie Farah will lead his team into battle against Newcastle Knights at Hunter Stadium tomorrow night.
Farah has informed Head Coach Tim Sheens he will play in the round 16 Telstra Premiership match after being given time off from training following his mother's funeral last Wednesday. Sonia Farah passed away from pancreatic cancer at the age of 63 last Sunday just hours before Wests Tigers clash against the Sydney Roosters at Leichhardt Oval.
Sheens is wary of facing a fired up Newcastle after their last start 32-16 loss to Canberra at home a fortnight ago. The Knights sit in 14th place on the ladder with just four wins from 13 matches.
“We are very much going to have to be on our game to play Newcastle in Newcastle,’’ Sheens said.
“They were booed off by their crowd in their last game and they have had a bye to think about that. They are going to be ready to play. They have been in every game even though the score line at the end doesn’t say so. They’ve only needed a few things to go their way.
“It is a very dangerous game for us. They are a very good side and they have had a week to recover from any injuries.
“They have got plenty of reasons to play because their backs are against the wall.
“The last time we played up there we had our backs to the wall and won on a very rainy Monday night when people said we couldn’t. It started a bit of a run for us two years ago, so I’m very aware of the dangers of this game.”
Wests Tigers players will wear pink jerseys against the Knights as part of the Women in League round while several players will pull on pink boots.
Supporters attending the game will be able to purchase their own pink jerseys at the official Wests Tigers merchandise van at the Southern end of Hunter Stadium and at the Wests Tigers stand inside the ground at the western end.
I'd be leaving Aku out of this one if he is carrying an injury. NSW need him fit and firing more than we do and if he agrivates it more on Monday night and misses selection then we are more than likely going to see BMoz replace him and that simply can't happen.
Johns on the Sunday football show was saying all the lads had the week off, and upon returning to training seem to have got their heads in the right space.....
He sounded very confident the Knights would go well so never say never.
