Will Cam Smith retire?

I cannot see Cam or Melbourne having too much success under the new rules. Cam's too old and the game is so much quicker. Melbourne can no longer control the speed of the ruck to gain an unfair advantage. All of the average players who've excelled at that cheating club are going to get found out over the next few weeks. I look forward to seeing it. Couldn't happen to a bigger bunch of grubs.

I wouldn't be surprised if whining Cam Smith announced his retirement some time during the season.

Bellamy wasn't his obnoxious self during the game. He looked like a man who knows the writing is on the wall.

Munster didn't do much playing behind a pack that couldn't control the ruck. He hasn't done much for Queensland over the last few years.

Jerome Hughes is average.

Your forwards looked weak now they're unable to play WWF. Smith sure got angry as the game went on and he realised his team couldn't wrestle their way to victory. The red even turned a blind eye to a couple of blatant knock-ons your mob add and you still couldn't get over thr stripe in the second half.

Three cheers for V'Landys! Future PM!

Only reason I want the Donkeys gone is because they spat on the BRL, reneged on their agreement to compensate the BRL clubs in 1988 and started playing home games at 3pm on Sundays in 1988, even though they agreed not to do it as that was when all BRL games were played. Their mission was to kill the BRL and spit on the history of the game in Brisbane. History and tradition is important and the Broncos trampled all over it.

You just know this is going to get bumped when we finish top 4, again lol
Your mob sure gets a lot of leeway from the refs when you need it most. How many games have you won on the back of dodgy calls?

You cannot deny it mate, it's been going on for decades. I'll never forget the game against the Dragons when you were allowed to play on after full time to score the match winning try. No other team would be given that leg up. Maybe Brisbane.

Slater given a try against the Donkeys from a 'grubber' that was a blatant knock-on. Two Cowboys' players lying on the ground with serious injuries and the refs allow Melbourne to play a full set against 11 men, then award a penalty to Munster after he pretended to be injured.

Slater being allowed to play in a GF when he should have been suspended.

Two premierships from blatant cheating and your mob still run around saying you were robbed.

Melbourne are a vile club and no rugby league fan would follow this mob for what they've done to the game over the last 2 decades.

I think we're more likely to find that refs will be told to allow a bit more in the ruck. I think they'll be scared that this week was too fast.

They'll sell it by saying that there will be less penalties blown.

Head office won't want Brisbane and Melbourne to become also rans, so you might be right. It'll be a shame if they allow the wrestle to creep back in as it's been the best rugby league I've seen since 2005.

Bellamy looks older than Bennett. He has the crazy eye. I think its over.
Bennett and Bellamy are holding the game back.

Bennett's one pass of the ruck hit-ups and kick on the last is boring and outdated and led Great Britain to a loss against PNG.

Bellamy had no success in Origin and relies on foul play to gain an advantage. He got found out tonight. The bloke might go on to create a new strategy that works for Melbourne next year, but I cannot see it happening this year and not until his side has had a preseason to adapt.

Graham Murray was a true blue legend who got the most out of footballers and turned average sides into title contenders. He did it by having them play attractive football that drew crowds. He turned Roosters and Cowboys around where no one else could. Not even the great Phil Gould could do what Murray did. Ricky Stuart capitalised on Murray's hard work.

People want to see line breaks, tackle busts and little blokes running rings around tiring big fellas. It gives the smaller kids at school belief that they can become something if they persevere long enough. Bellamy killed all of that and made it so that the biggest bully who cheats the most, wins. How many small kids have been turned off the game because of the crap Melbourne have dished out over the last 15 years? It hasn't led to an explosion in playing numbers in Melbourne.

Bellamy knows the ref won’t blow 40 penalties. After a few he will just let the slowing down of the ruck go which means the storm get to dictate the tempo in every game. Smith would take exception to every penalty and address the ref directly, slowing the game down even more.

Under the new rules they can’t do that anymore. The ref will happily give six again all night which speeds the ruck up rather than slowing it down. Smith doesn’t get the stoppage to protest and all of a sudden they have to play by the same rules as everyone else.

now we get to find out whether they are a great team or whether they just had an edge over the house.

The declaration of the down fall of the storm is premature to say the least. They played a damn good side last night who have hit the ground running.

Bellamy is a master and will no doubt have the team in a position to challenge for the premiership again at which point these new rules will suddenly favour the storm according to the punters.
