Will Dogs make the 8?

Well they're only two wins out of the 8. Although effectively 3 given their abysmal +/-.

But there's still a long, long way to go. A 3 game win streak and they'll probably be 7th or 8th.

So yes of course they can still make the 8. They look like Dogshit though so im not sure they can turn it around to the degree they'll have to.
This.

Although there's a little more to making the 8 than simple mathematics. Their next fortnight isn't too bad - Sharks and Tigers, but gee they need to find a spark from somewhere.

Like a family pet at Joel Monaghans house, they're f**ked puppies.

It's not just their forwards that are the problem, their halves just don't seem to have any plans or ideas and the rest of the back line isn't helping that issue.

They still have plenty of time to turn it around but obviously if they keep playing at this standard then they'll miss the 8. Barba needs to find his 2012 form and their halves need to get their head out of the sand.
I am enjoying it!

They have played all the teams in form and lost. I can still see a top 8 finish but they need to start going forward more often than looking to go sideways.

Barba looks like he doesn't want to be at the Dogs for mine. He looked on fire for the All Stars. Now he looks like he doesn't give a shit. Expecting he will leave

Will give alot of teams a headache going into the origin period and the second half of the season.

Will either just make it or just miss out, but that will be about it.

They'll sink their teeth into it when James Graham comes back. The early losses might bite them hard though. They may make the 8 through the skin of their teeth.

LMAO!!

I think if they do make it.... they will be in fine form by then and will cause some damage in the finals

but they have to win this week

There's still something with Barba, he's not happy/focused, their gameplan has been busted and they're gonna pay for turning their forwards into a bunch of big slow halfbacks who refuse to carry the ball forward.
I think your on the money with your suggestion Barba is certainly not firing and big Tony's going through a slump when they get back to full strength they should give it a good shake the thing is it might just be too late cheers

Not sure if the playing group are very happy, and I don't mean because they are losing. Possibly a greater problem other than the one the public has been told?

On a negative point of view
Lose another 7 games and they won't make it... the countdown has started.

Problem for the Dogs is that they have been exposed. They started the year with two weaknesses and added a third. And everyone has seen the effect. They are a mile behind the eight ball.

We know why the Dogs are getting beaten - because their two best props are out, their halves are average, and their best attacking weapon is out of form and being well marked. They might make the finals but they are stuck with their halves and teams will still be aware of Barba. And if they lose a prop to injury they will be no chance of beating the top teams.

Barba is out of sorts but still, teams are on him like stink on s**t. Teams know he is the man and are giving him nothing. T Rex is copping some stick and deservedly so. But he has always relied on props and halves to get the team in the right spot to allow him to shine.

There could be a couple of things going on at the club outside the white lines.

Des and a few others probably got a letter form ASADA this week. So that's no fun even if they are in the clear. T Rex might have got one too?

A few of them have their hands out for a new contract right now. And the club have just handed out some serious coin....a million bucks to Klemmer after just one game or something, plus the T Rex deal. Maybe some jealousy or uncertainty over how much is left in the cap for everyone else? Tolman seems resigned to leaving and I'm sure he is a popular member of the playing group, if only for the way he plays. Reynolds would have some offers to weigh up which might be playing on his mind. The club has an option on Keating, doubt he feels comfy.

It has been reported that Barba had a couple of blow ups with team mates before his spell. Might be some lingering stuff there?

So if Dessy and T Rex are talking to lawyers, a few boys are trying to get paid, and Barba is doing counselling.......it's fair to say there is a bit going on over there.

Only two wins out of the eight - they and any other team can still easily make the eight

They really have no play makers in their side - cant see how they can score points
