Didn't Soward get off a few weeks ago too? It looked bad. The NRL match review and judiciary have been very inconsistent with these instances. I thought there may have been one looked at last week by Lockyer I think but not even a mention. It would be a shame for the biggest grand final in years to be ruined by Hayne's suspension, especially after Smith last year we don't want grand finals being overshadowed by these controversies.

Doesn't look good imo. I'd expect him to be charged.

Whats he to do. He was going for the ball as well. Would it of been better if he stepped on the try scorers hands or head????

The one thing he has going for him, is that he didnt slid in, with the knees or feet. I think he be ok......I hope.

if you watch it he had he feet out and they were about to slide straight into his face but he tucked them back to avoid feet contact, purely accidental and will get off, not sure about MK but!

Considering how Smith missed the GF last year, will be a very interesing wait.

Not as bad as that f**king chicken wing by whoever that Parra player was. Now that player should definitely be suspended for the GF.

While I am thinking of it, Phil Gould has retained the world title of biggest knob jockey, FMD he is the most biased dillbrain on commentary.

He has gone beyond trying to talk it up, to being a boody nuisnace, and an ex Dogs coach who only sees good in the Rorters and the Dogs, idiot

Geez he has been pissing me off since we beat the Saints. His picks and favorites have been falling over through out the semis and his bias for the teams that have performed for the majority of the season as opposed to Parra's late charge, his own words in his column from a couple of weeks ago, is a total downer during the game.

I also watched Fox's replay and how much better was Warren Smith. He had no agenda, just loved the game. Mind you I didn't agree with his comments on Hayne maybe having a case to answer to the judiciary.

To me he was lifting his knees up and away from Goodwin's head, as he himself was pleading to the referee.

You really need to support a different sport as you clearly are a knob!

he will never get suspended for it, but he did drop to his knees and showed no attempt to go for the ball with his hands or arms, he lunged recklessly and collected a player late and high, hmmmmmmm, grade 1 knee drop is 200 points, i know its a gf but cam smith anyone?

Um, Ok i'm a knob...

So you have no dramas with the chicken wing tackle? Oh yeah, i forgot, Hannant was faking it! How stupid of me

I am not parra supporter but you have to be kidding regarding Matt Keating tackle, he was involved in the tackle and grab his arm and in the process of others in tackle it was just unfortunate that Hannant fell the way he did. So good luck to the blue and gold boys wish my team was their but hey they are not.

The Matt Keating tackle doesnt look the best, fairly worried about him playing next week. I hope he isnt rubbed out because he has played his heart out for 51 consecutive weeks, to miss out on the grandfinal would be a tragedy.

If he does miss out though, who replaces him? Obviously Kingston to start, but does A. Mitchell make his debut in a grandfinal? The 2 hooker rotation has been great for us, im struggling to think of other options other than carrying another forward on the bench.

???

i dare say Mitchell would play aye imagine making your debut in the grand final?
If we still has Finch (just hypothetical) id say this is where Robbo would come into the side, but geez i hope keating gets off he and kingston have an awesome combination going atm on the field

As a Parra supporter ;-) I agree.

One of the instances that looks bad on replay, but innocuous in "real time".

80kg Keating trying to haul down a rampaging prop that has 30kg on him and a full head of steam.

Not intentional, just awkward and unfortunate how it turned out.

Added:

Andrew Johns gives Hayne the green light in his Telegraph column today:

". . . and while he is on report, there is no way in the world he will be rubbed out for the big one on the evidence I saw last night. I thought the incident with Bryson Goodwin was accidental and he shouldn't have any worries"
