Thompson has been disappointing this year before he got injured but he's young and has talent.

Dufty can be anything lightning quick, backs up well and is very smart on field ingeneral.

Its the younger guys who may make an impact in years to come Reuben Garrick and Patrick Herbert.

So which team do you support anyway homie? All you ever do is talk up local juniors who have defected and most of the time talk down loyal juniors. I haven't seen any games but I read in the DT that Issac Thompson, despite still being available to play U20s for another 2 years, has been sensational in a poor team. They specifically mentioned his size, speed and footwork. But according to you he has been 'disappointing' or 'may be ready for the NSW Cup next year' and etc etc. All the while raving about how good Jack Bird and Hastings are.

I believe you are a Grub spy on here merely to sew discord.

To be fair, Hastings and Bird were head and shoulders above any juniors weve had coming through for years. The only comparable youngsters from the last half decade were Kyle Stanley and Cameron King, who were both destroyedby injuries before their careers took off. (I tend to put Shannon Crook in the same category, but he seems to have been on the outer since his ACL tear).

In Thompson - he looks good at a young age due to his size. His speed/footwork are comparable with others kids his age, and I dont think he has a particularly high level of football smarts (which sets the Radradras apart from the Daniel Vidots). He could be a good project, but can't expect the world purely due to his size - he could end up like Nabuli! TBH he isnt the most exciting prospect in our stock of outside backs. I like the look of Tom Carr Deejay Harris and I think Reuben Garrick will be the best of the lot!

I'm really looking forward to seeing Yaw Kiti Glymin get some consistent first grade next year.

Tom Carr is about the same height as Thompson, but lighter and perhaps just a bit quicker. So besides Glymin, if Flo or Matatuia go down, we need to be putting in Carr, Thompson or Dufty.

It would be good to get someone with Carr's height in, but he is too light at 87kg atm, he would need to put on about 5kg this off season, and another 2-3kg the following off season.

I've also see Thompson play, he does look a little lazy, but he doesn't turn 19 until October, so still very young. But IMO, if you are already 102kg at 18, you are only going to get heavier as you get older, so his future might be in the second row.

Thompson:19, 192cm, 102kg
Carr: 20, 192cm, 87kg
Dufty:20, 179cm, 80kg
Glymin: 22, 185cm, 96kg
*Age at the beginning of next season

That's true. Inglis was far better when he weighed only a little over 100kg rather than (about 115?) now. On the other hand, Israel Folau has lost weight if anything. I know he is playing a different game but it shows it is possible. Just have him doing fitness sessions rather than weights every second or third time and when doing weights, have him do lots of repetitions with light weights.
