Will it be good enough?

Will todays press conference contain some news that will be enough to get a positive reaction from those self proclaimed martyrs like eddie, 'super':roll:coach, moth chopsy and all the other 'supporters'?

Or will they stll manage to find something negative and ''tell it like it is'' in what no doubt will be a positive step for the club?

I doubt it'll be good enough for these keyboard experts who know more than Sheens, Simmons, Noyce and McDonnell combined.

If we watch the midday foxsports 'lunchtime wrap' carefully we may even see 'super' coach giving Sheens a piece of his mind during the PC.

Well if that was the bulk of the 'press conference' just on Fox, then you won't hear much in the way of 'news' at all! A press conference to announce they don't have any news yet - maybe in a few days, these things take time you know. And they don't like all the talk about Benji going to another club when he still has a year on his contract. I think. Much ado about nothing. But - I'm hoping there will be another press conference and that was the warm-up...

Gist was -

Benji has had his best off season yet (in reply to talk about Titans etc but didn't get the dvd in in time to get the first sentence or so)

Matt Head has been in to have talks with 'Tim' but Noyce wasn't in on them but 'understands' they went well and hope to have some news in a few days (and the things take time comment)

Nick Youngquest only real signing and that led in to Noyce defending not buying in many players, 'can't have it both ways' according to Noyce - either bring up grassroots or you don't.

ETA:
It's just coming on again and the lead-in is from the CEOs get-together so hopefully this was from last night, not this morning. So it was a warm-up!

Credit where credits due. Im happy. This is a good signing, so was Youngquest.

But this doesn't excuse the previous f**k ups like Morris, Moodie, Lewis, Harris, Ohara, etc etc. which deserved every bit of negative criticism.

With our departures any signing was going to be better than the alternative. But don't count your chickens. One player is injury prone and the other barely made the 17 in a team that got the spoon is a realists view.

mithy is again confusing the terms "liability" and "utility"...

they have very different meanings mate, you'd wanna be more careful.

So Morris isn't a liability .. that would make him an asset .. pray tell me where he is an asset .. 5/8, 1/2 or hooker .... ta muchly

He is an asset in many ways Mulli. As a utility he is a fine asset and unless the plan on bringing a junior through he is our best utility option

A utility option/PL player for 200k a season
Astute purchase eh
sh*t 1/2, as bad at 5/8 and would be the 4th best hooker t the club (at best)

A good utility smeg ?
What position is he good at ?
He is f**king garbage end of story
Halatau is better, quicker and cheaper

 Halatau shouldn't be anywhere near first grade with his form since 2005. He is a terrible dummy half and Morris far exceeds him in terms of adding dimension to attack

Morris will be a good value utility player who are going to be more important when (if) the interchange numbers decrease. 200K yea fair enough, consider this MOTH your man Marshall is on near double that and hasnt had a good game since it was increased. Your a stats man, Sheens 43% BLAH BLAH BLAH.....well heres another one for you Marshall our marquee player on 1/8 of our total salary cap had earnt 3 yep THREE Dally M points since 05!!

On last years form Morris was more value to us than Marshall, even though neither were any good.

Did Benji f**k your missus or something??

I dont give a sh*t about 'value'. I want good players in my team and Benji is a genuine matchwinner when fit. A once in a lifetime talent. I know you probably have only been supporting the Tigers since the 05 winning streak but let me tell you Benji has been carving up teams since he was a kid. Going through an unlucky streak with injury but he'll eventually get over it .
Watch him rip defences apart next year with a genuine half giving him quality ball.
But no lets get rid of him for John Morris because hes better value. ASSClown.

I know one thing. If Balmain had a Benji in 1988 and 1989 we sh*t both premierships in. Spot on Ninja he is a once in a generation player who has had a torrid time of it, a lot of it due to the fact that he has been rushed back early plenty of times because the coach has known that from 2004-2006 the team was unable to win without him and the CEO also knows that Marshall puts bums on seats. Given he's sold our arse for 20c re home grounds, i don't think it's too much to consider that Mrshall has been rushed back to put a few thousand extra on the gate
