G'day Gents,

I lurk this forum often. It is often a good read. You merkins seem to know about breeding so any guesses on whether this thing will be able to run? I bought 5% of him yesterday. Portelli will train it. It went to the stables today for a week to familiarise itself with the surroundings. Portelli says it is close to the biggest 2 yo he has seen, hence, it has been broken in and heading to the stables a couple of months in advance of his other 2 year olds. My limited knowledge tells me it will be a straight out speed horse but may not train on past its 3 year old season. Am I guessing correctly?

It is by multiple Gp 1 winner Dissident out of Sweetener, a Snitzel mare that was placed in the Blue Diamond Prelude.

Yeah, missed the start but showed some good speed to catch them quickly. Was held in a pocket so couldn't get out but once the leader moved on a bit he was able to get forward more. Most importantly, still room for improvement from that run.

Happy with that.

Have another boy who should break his maiden today, Holy Reign at Cessnock (Race 4).

Has been unlucky so far in the horses he has drawn against and the car park barriers but ran pretty well each time. Very short today, about $1.80 which makes me nervous for a horse that hasn't won a race. Main concern is if he is ready for a rest. Fingers crossed

Yep solid trial for sure, nice big action on him.. I would have liked to have seen him get to the outside to some open space and see how he let down

Well that hurt, I must have missed the memo where the plan was to take him around the turn, do a few laps of the car park and then try and catch the field. Must have had to run an extra 8 lengths than the winner.

Munched some more coin on Friday, she tries hard but it fairly limited. Another 3rd so for an Eels fan that’s pretty good.

Trial again Tuesday, if all goes well Gary wants to run him in the Victory Vein Plate on the 13th. Pulled up very well from last trial.

The baby boy had another trial today (4th trial at Rosehill if you want to check it out).

The run was pretty obvious when you see it, a lot to learn, made a big error but certainly has talent.

I actually had the second horse marked as a smoky after its first trial and Disruptors trial today was much better than it (minus the greeness)

Being beaten by the Breeders winner in its first trial form looks very good

If it gets passed to race it will be very competitive in whatever you target

Yeah, spanner in the works (short term), will have to trial again to satisfy the Stewards, not at all suprised, it's a fair request given how badly he missed the turn.
