i hope so, they love their footy down there and its quite a strong league province.

on the other hand, its a very strong union province as well.

the warriors win last week will sell some tickets and i reckon the tigers are a kiwi-freindly team.

Benji's absence may affect some people. One thing for sure is they will be less fairweathered than us Aucklanders. It's also a day after an All Blacks test..

Is the game being played during the gap between Stupor 12 & Tri-Nations?? If then, it could be a good crowd...

Cheers,

All Blacks vs England the night before, from Dunedin.

Mind you, i'm going the the All Blacks test Saturday week in Auckland and i'm backing up the next day to see the Warriors take on the Cowboys.

No reason why the quality league starved Cantabs can't watch a game on TV, then head out to Jade the next day.

You're a bit of a fanatic though ;-) . I imagine most who post on this forum a bit more keen than your average footy fan!

Fair point. I know a few who are flying down from here to see the game...

I heard they had about 10,000 tickets sold a week or so ago, so it should be an acceptable crowd at the very least.

Christchurch is the union capitol of the southern hemisphere ... no make that the world ...

All thats on TV in the bars over there is union, union, union, even if it is out of season, it's replays of union, union union :)

if they get over 10000 it will be a fantastic effort.

Damn nice city to visit too !
