He has made 340 metres in two weeks. It's pretty good.

To'a always had a head start on his outside due to the inside defenders needing help. Lane was atrocious, forcing Drown in to help him, and Penisini had to come in to fill that gap. It's how footy works, and why most breaks are made out wide.

I have watched enough of Brown to say his defensive reads are shit and I don't get the talk that he is a good defender. Makes some nice try say tackles but that's due to his speed.

Samrani did enough for me to keep his spot in the outside backs next week or at least be next in line with the Fox & Simmo coming back.

I would rather see the Fox replace Penisini personally and move Samrani into the centres after yesterday's performance.

Not sure if anyone noticed at the ground but Samrani and Lomax switched positions at stages in the first half.

As you can see in 2022 was his best year when he was 19-20 years of age.

When i started this thread at end of 2023. I didnt think Will could get any worse.

Since then there has been a steady decline when players should be getting better not worse.

He actually has missed more tackles playing less games the following 2 seasons and his on track to miss over 100 this year if he plays every game.

I said yesterday he looks like a Ron Massey cup player atm.

Cant tackle, can't catch, struggles to pass, has no speed and struggles to bust the line.

Like honestly how he has he regressed so much as a player.

Name me 1 thing he has been constantly doing well in the past 18 months

He was touted to have leadership qualities - but the more time goes on, the more I think that was just a couple of people in the club having the wool pulled over their eyes because Will played union and went to some expensive private school.

He hasn't shown any leadership at all, has plateaued as a player, and is dead set struggling to maintain a spot in the 17 - I'd only retain him in first grade as a potential way of getting Lomax selected on the wing.

One question i want to know is has there been a bigger regression in a player then Will Penisini

How he has developed from a first grader with some decent potential to playing like a regular reserve grader.

I reckon his performances especially with his ball control/handling in the past 18 months are on par with Waqa Blake at his worst.

Defence isn't much better and his passing game isn't exactly great.

I would move him on but honestly whose taking him with the form he is in and the money he is on.
