It's about time he was able to take advantage of his main strength, being his leg drive. PCM and tackle breaks were very good yesterday.

Now if he could only bury that shoulder of his into an opponent's ribs and drive them backwards in tackles, he might make a half decent centre.
Mate he's the first one down there after a kickoff and usually the one hitting the prop first

And we do alot of kickoffs

Wills hit ups are the only good things about him...

Yep, his yardage carries have never been an issue. He is as strong as an ox and he can get a quick PTB.

Unfortunately without another string to his bow (unable to pass left OR right effectively, beat his man 1v1, no deft kick, clean offload) his opposition can simply put their body in front and wait for backup.

Here’s hoping this isn’t the end of the line for his progression but unfortunately I see a Konrad Hurrell-esque plateau.

A one dimensional attacking centre is fine in the NRL. Especially when that one dimension is so valuable. Hurrell was flushed because he was a poor defender, not because he couldn’t pass or whatever.

His pass to Kelly for the Joash try was typical Will.
His coming in and attempting to tackle the guy who had already passed the ball in the Xerri try was typical Will.
Yes he ran hard, probably harder than I recall in the past but he appears unable to remove the clangers from his game.
