Will you improve from last year??????? 1 word......no, sorry guys thats just the way i see it, the sooner you get rid of langmack the whole lot better your club will be, from all the posts that i have read you seem to have a lot of good up and coming juniors,that will need some fine tuning
and eased into grade carefully. Langmack is not the answer there pure and simple bunnie fans and everyone knows that except your club which is a shame, being a wests tigers supporter (wests before the jv) our club has learned the hard way with 2 inexpeirenced coaches in pearce and lamb over the last couple of years, sheens was begged by the club to coach us (because no one else would touch us with a barge pole) and look at the difference now at the club we have a lot of very talented juniors coming through, expeirenced players sattler,graham,hodgson,prince willing to come to the club to play under sheens simply because he has something that langmack will never have respect of all his players and staff and most importantly he is an experienced coach somthing that the wt should have done in the 1st place, and that is what souths should have done instead of signing langmack for 3 years when the bloke had no coaching experience at all..... to me thats not good business sence, who knows you might get in the 8 next year and langmack will get coach of the year, i wish you well next year but imho i just cannot see that happining......................

Don't get me wrong, I am still far from convinced about Langmack, but some of your reasoning defies logic. Firstly you state "look at the difference" well as far as I can see Wests finished equal second last this year, so what has Sheens done to improve that? In regards to the players that you mentioned going to the club, they were unwanted by their existing clubs and only left for that very reason, none of them had other clubs clamouring for their signatures.

Respect, well everybody knows that Langmack is a clown, but merely insisting that players call you "Coach Sheens" does not necessarily mean that those players respect you.

But I certainly agree with you that Souths jumped the gun by signing Langmack for 3 years when they most probably would have been better off with an experienced coach.

My firm belief is that Pappas is only putting up with all the ineptness because here is no money in th coffers to pay out the remaining 2 years on the Langmack and Tapp contracts.

This is why the amazingly strong coaching structure now around Langmack. It will also be why when the Pappas ticket gets elected, Tapp will be directly answerable to a new 'business savvy' board.

Pappas is not a fool. He would not be putting up with the total ineptitude if the money was there to pay both these guys out. But the Muir payout, the Walker payout and the Coleman payout, (2 of which by the Piggins board, 1 of which a move by the Pappas board (admittedly), but Langmack and Tapp driven) have taken their toll on the money at the joint.

This is why its my belief that Pappas is looking to have Langmack and Kinatis swap roles at the end of 2004, but have Langmack as the 'official' coach. I think we all know why the club practically begged Kinatis to come back. There had to be some pretty good terms involved to get him back, after the way he was cast aside by the previous administration.

I hope simply that Souths are more competitive. While i have no faith in langers at all, all souths fans who watched reggies last year know how a katinas coached team performs.

It was funny to see the reggies playing a more enthusiastic and structured form of footy than firsts

rastus i think you missed my point champ, look at wt and where they are headed now compared to 2 or 3 years ago we were heading for the chop sheens and simmonds have now got the jv going the way it should have been going years ago, as for the players who we signed i noticed not 1 of them went to the bunnies champ weather they were pushed out by there old club or not i didnt see them lining up at your club, and this crap about
' coach sheens' champ i have a mate who plays at wests tigers and i asked him that same question his responce.... he laughed at me they all call him tim or sheensy so that should kill that rumor, as i said the bunnies won't get any better until they piss off that arse clown parading around as a coach langmack...................

Glad to hear that Sheens has learned a lesson, comes from experience I guess, he obviously learned that "Coach Sheens" moniker didn't automatically earn him respect.

Oh, and those players you mentioned, they didn't go to Souths because Souths didn't want them the first place.

I still think that proof of heading in the right direction is reflected by position on the NRL ladder, so I don't think WT have advanced under Sheens - maybe that will change this year

He has no idea how to coach a team, you need an experienced coach. Get out on the market and drum up a few ex coaches doing nothing, Bob Fulton for example-a successful coach and has a lot of experience. And he is also someone who the players would respect.

Langmack is doing more harm than good by staying, he should be removed and made an assistant coach at best, ASAP.

That's exactly what I am saying. Sattler was interested in coming to Souths thru his fathers connection, but Souths weren't interested.

Once again, Souths did not want those players. If, as you say, "any club in their right mind would want that list" why is it that no club other than your made them offers.

Hodgson & Prince, whilst potentially very good, have injury clouds over them. Souths should have 1/2 covered with Byrne, Peters, Kearney & Joe Williams.

When did this thread become a discussion about ladder positions. There's a shitload of other threads that slugs and rastus have started up about us in slang format that you can have a crack at us in, but this was actually a good point.

Now on to matters of football, at least you realistically concede that Sattler and Graham aren't fit to tie Fletch's bootlaces. Now, do I have to repeat again NO CLUB WANTED SATTLER OR GRAHAM,comprende ;-) ergo, they are ORDINARY at best ;-)

As for Hodgson & Prince, they are crocks, and considerably older than the players I mentioned (Byrne, Kearney & Williams). My point was we have considerable depth at 1/2 unlike wastes who are relying heavily on an injury riddled player. Yep you signed some first graders, ones that no other clubs wanted. Sad but true ;-)
