Can’t blame him - going out at Leichhardt with Robbie Flog Farah playing on one leg would be a nightmare for him. Farah is such a Prima dona he will probally play in moon boot
Probally should have been said weeks ago, then again who knew the team needed to rely on goal kicking

Mofo merkins need to fire the f**k up. Heads in the game. Bodies on the line. Hit hard. Run hard. And straight. Pass to hands. Catch the pill. Back up runners. Kick to the green. Chase. Kick between the mother-loving sticks. f*cksake. Win. Just win.

Well said Gal.

I think he’s sick of the mediocrity that gets excepted.

The lack of standards by key playmakers.

Sick of the pea hearts.

Sick of the selfishness of some players.

Sick of the lack of commitment for the whole 80 minutes.

For a player that has done it all it’s a credit to him.

He could’ve said f**k it after this game.

I’m going to get pissed and next week can go and get farked because this team doesn’t really want it.

But no at 38 he’s still so focused on making the finals and leaving nothing in the tank.

One drink each and then go home and start preparing your body for an assault at Leichhardt that we are going to take no prisoners and not die wondering.

Start building the statue now.

Legend.

Legend Alright!

At the start of the thread, I was going to say we will lose as we used up all our emotional petrol yesterday but we just got a few more Gallens in the tank!

Inspirational stuff!

The second last paragraph I've put in bold. I'm thinking that Gal may have been speaking to one player in particular..

Cronulla missed the chance to secure a top-eight spot with a heart-breaking golden-point loss to Canberra on Sunday and departing legend Paul Gallen isn't keen to end his career this weekend.

The Sharks face Wests Tigers in a must-win clash at Leichhardt Oval on Sunday.

Cronulla currently sit in eighth, equal on points with the Tigers, though with a slightly better points difference.

That will mean nothing should they drop the two points, with the winner guaranteed a finals spot.

38-year-old Gallen, who played his final ever game at Shark Park in the loss to the Raiders, isn't interested in ending his career with the home-and-away season and let his teammates know as much after the game on Sunday.

Speaking on the ABC's Winning Starts on Monday podcast, former teammate Luke Lewis revealed the message the skipper delivered to the players.

"I went into the change rooms after the game, it's Gal's night, and he was going to say goodbye to his family and everyone that turned up and his teammates, and he lay down the law," Lewis said.

"He lay down the law to every player in that shed, that there's no excuses this weekend.

"I can't go into detail about the way he spoke because obviously there was some pretty powerful words, but everything he said was what was needed to be said.

"He said, 'I know it's my night and I know we're going over to have a few beers and we've got friends and family over there. I'm going over, we're having one beer and I want everyone to nick off home and start preparing now. Get your injuries right, get your bodies right, there's no excuses for next week, you tick every box. Because it is going to be...' I wish I could say what he said.

"It's a huge game next week, but if you don't buy into it, he goes, 'mate, I'm telling you now, if I find out, you're not playing, that's it. You buy into this, this is what our team's about, this is what our club's about, and if you miss out on this semi final series because you didn't go home and tick a box, you don't deserve to be a first grader'."

Strong words from Gal. Sharks fans will have to wait until Sunday afternoon to see whether they cut through.

The heading of that story should had 2 more words in it.
Moylan
Johnson

Wow.
Get your body right.
Gal has bled for this club and played with injuries that others couldnt get out of bed with.

When he heard johnson say 2 minutes before kickoff yesterday he wasn't playing he mustve wanted to punch the lil farker in the face.
Why wasnt this weak quad massaged to an inch of its life so it couldnt tear??

And moylan. Gal must be near ripping that slackers head off.

Gal knows these blokes are soft.
Perennial wimps who have never stepped up in the hour of need.

Well hes called them out now.

Love it.

Yes, we will have to overcome the stitch up!

I've rounded up another 100 kids and upped production this week. Gonna make a fortune with our newest creation for the final round...

Is it true that Cummins is the ref?

He will certainly favour a Robbie Farah positive send off!
