Looking in from outside, I'm not sure we could have done anymore for both of them as a club. You need to find a way to be able to sign and retain players on good value contracts. The challenge with the Galvin situation (and Stefano before him) is that it looks like talented young players don’t want to stay at the Wests Tigers for whatever reason, and that cuts off one of your avenues to finding value.

I'm not sure who manages Steph, but the lure to go to the Storm would have been huge, tbh, I didn't think he was doing much for us and I think we got better replacements, anyway.
As for Galvin, it feels like his manager has poured honey in his ear that his career would be better else where, it never felt like he was comfortable here, so they've made there play, I do think he was poorly advised, he was offered the keys to the club, but it wasn't enough, it seems.
But, it's not hard to convince players, when you have been consistently at the bottom of the comp.
All clubs with a very talented football junior risk losing them if they have an impact during and after their debut.Looking in from outside, I'm not sure we could have done anymore for both of them as a club.

In fact our CEO has said several times that we are a development club and if there is one person who can ice that program it's him.All clubs with a very talented football junior risk losing them if they have an impact during and after their debut.
I don't think we're are on our Pat Malone with this nor is it a club culture to not retain juniors. .
I'm not sure they have given up on LG staying. In fact our CEO has said several times that we are a development club and if there is one person who can ice that program it's him.
It is unavoidable for every club to recruit the best on offer then fill the gap with pathway talent. After a successful rebuilt, it's these talented young footballers who change the role as they become the best on offer....
What we have to do is stop the leaking of these players before the cycle is completed eg.....LG.
I've already jumped off his train, collateral damage. I'd rather our CEO evaluate our dealings with Galvin and make sure we shore up the remaining talent we have. The Fainu brothers are a start .I'm not sure they have given up on LG staying.
If that was to happen, we will have other dramas with Latu, I think.
I was a supporter of the kid, but I believe he made his bed, let him lay in it somewhere else.
He's going to be toxic in the future.
Moses was found to have breached his obligations as an agent in 2017 when he assisted former client Tim Mannah to give evidence to the NRL that was false and intended to mislead an investigation into the Parramatta Eels........so what's this saying about the man?I've already jumped off his train, collateral damage. I reckon he's gone and the real question is will we show balls and get cash and or a player in return
Yeah the sooner we make a deal the more money, or better player we can get. Every week he plays his value is droppingEXCLUSIVE: Tigers board to meet on Monday lo discuss how to handle the final year of Lachlan Galvins contract.
I just can't see the Dogs paying big money for Galvin when their roster is set.
Toby Sexton continues to play well but he's only chicken feed so where's the dollars for LG come from? Do they have the space?
Parra are losing Brown so there's the obvious. We need big transfer dollars to let him go there next year.
Timing is crucial for LG, if we play hard ball it could stuff it up for him.
Who cares? Is Galvin that good?
Imagine LG joining Brooks at Manly and the two ex Tigers tank it up to be the new chokers.

Lachlan Galvin saga takes fresh turn as Wests Tigers make huge decision
The Lachlan Galvin saga could be about to reignite in sensational fashion: with Wests Tigers considering releasing the playmaker a year early.www.loverugbyleague.com
I'm hearing you DOM. As far as I'm concerned, one more missed tackle or poor options and I'm washing my hands of him. Not very Christian like I know but hey, it's professional sport and the TEAM comes first.Yeah the sooner we make a deal the more money, or better player we can get. Every week he plays his value is dropping
Not often but it's been done and more then once. If Galvin is as good as and as wanted by other clubs as much as the papers say, then why not try to strong arm the situation. How often does this happen for any club ?
Agree, I think in the past, that may have been a concern, but not with Richo. Not often but it's been done and more then once. If Galvin is as good as and as wanted by other clubs as much as the papers say, then why not try to strong arm the situation.
I think Benji wants him gone because if we continue to slide the coach will come under fire and the Galvin's saga will just add fuel to the fire. Journos will be relentless and will derail our season completely. Not often but it's been done and more then once. If Galvin is as good as and as wanted by other clubs as much as the papers say, then why not try to strong arm the situation.

Surely Galvin's parents have been told there are guaranteed bigger and better things for Galvin. The longer those things have to wait, especially if his form drops or does an ACL, they will disappear imo.Let's see what happens. My guess is we get f**k all. I'm okay with it as well. I hope I'm wrong and we get something out of it but I can't think of any situations where a deal is done like that.
