Will you tune into 2GB this season?

I'll undoubtedly hear two or three of their calls, perhaps even more - they'll often cover a match that the ABC aren't doing live and that I would prefer to listen to.

But, unless forced by those circumstances, HELL no. Definitely not their gibber either - they don't call a bad match by any stretch, but I can't take the four hours of crap that comes before it!

They're crap, they're painfully unfunny - but IMO Grandstand gets monotonous, negative and lacks any comedic content whatsoever. For that reason I don't mind switching between the two - but I would hardly call ABC Grandstand the greatest RL radio ever.

the cct is now worse than clive's posts.

everytime over the last 7-8 years that i've tuned in to check out the alternative to the abc, i'm dissapointed. they obviously cater to a female / cretin audience & so be it.

unfortunately as mentioned above, the abc is starting to also resemble a circlejerk of boring proportions.


i now watch games & encourage my 2.5 yr old son to provide the commentary.

About the only time I'll listen to the CCT is on Saturday afternoons between 2:00pm and 5:00pm if I have a particular urge for RL-related content.

Is almost impossible to get a good run of league coverage over here in NZ, and regardless of that fact i still refuse to listen to the garbage 2GB puts out. Was a weekly listener online when Peter Wilkins was the main man. Gave Hadleys show a few goes but has been woeful each time

You'd think if the BBC can put all the RL games on and have the talk back and discussions about the game in a place where RL is dominated by Soccer, the ABC would do the same thing for Australasia.

I was under the impression it was a broadcast rights issue. ABC radio streams just about everything it puts to air, so we can assume they have the technical capacity.

We get the ABC calls on NZ radio and on a Sunday after the games we get the interviews and talk afterwards, and i really enjoy that. Would be awesome if they started streaming all the buildup as well

Stopped me going insane in Melbourne. One weekend only TripleM were calling one game and I decided to listen to the traffic outside my apartment instead.
