I think everyone should lay off Williams...yeah his comments were outa line but they were also true (as hypocritical as that sounds) its the kind of comment that needs to be made by journalists not rookies. I hope the kid can come back from this.

I don't understand how anyone can justify the dribble that comes out of Mason's mouth on a regular basis. He's the biggest loud mouth in the game and he's giving William's a serve?? He probably thinks he knows alot on the subject after going MIA by that big hit from Kidwell in the test.

wasnt it more along the lines of "Anasta is way past it, and we're going to smash the roosters"

Richie Williams is on an assault charge stemming from a fight down in his home town on the NSW South Coast. The alleged incident occured around Christmas 2006 (as reported by WIN TV news in Wollongong.)

The bloke seems to be a grub.

Further to that:
"Cronulla and South Sydney didn't think he was worth the drama and let Williams go, and the Dragons have put him on final notice after a number of alcohol-related incidents. With an assault charge also looming over his head, 20-year-old Williams won't be getting any more chances to get it right."
(LEAGUE HQ - http://www.leaguehq.com.au/news/news/rebel-to-make-shirt-his-own/2007/03/15/1173722658226.html)

"ST GEORGE Illawarra officials last night admitted Mark Gasnier's replacement as five-eighth is facing assault charges.
Richie Williams, 20, will contest charges relating to a fight over the Christmas-New Year period at Narooma on the NSW South Coast when he faces court next month, Dragons chief executive Peter Doust said.
He added the club was also contacted by police about a recent incident at Bondi involving Williams but no charges were laid." (NEWS.COM.AU - http://origin.www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,21362715-5001023,00.html)
