Win or Lose Conundrum

Such an empty feeling when we lose, especially against the Bulldogs. Winning is the ultimate pleasure to anyone but here we have it most want us to lose with the hope of Mary getting the bullet.

When you see the current crop of Dragons players play, you see panic and uncertainty in attack and defence causing many mistakes/errors and looking very dejected. I think that with the new rules, we have gone backwards as compared to the games in rounds 1 and 2 during which we looked like winners at various stages and we scored tries. The coach doesn't seem to know how to apply the rules compared to the other coaches.

I am still at a loss as to what sort of contribution Flanagan has made to the coaching in defence and also the other guy Shepherd in attack. All of the coaches are rubbing and shaking their heads wondering what the hell should we be doing. They appear to be at a complete loss and I definitely do not want to see McGregor, Flanagan, Young and Shepherd in our coaching squad after this year. All useless I am afraid just like some of the players.

St George Illawarra Dragons are in serious trouble. More of the players will want to leave for less pay.

mcgregor's already stated he's the head coach, things are going to be done his way, as is clearly obvious. Nothing has changed from last year or seasons past

how about you stop calling yourself a dragons supporter!
Riiightio.

I hate wishing for another inept performance, it pains me. Yet telling someone who you've never met, do not know the type of person they are or what they stand for, or what is acceptable to them & what isn't. Is as moronic as your statement.

I have been a red V supporter since I was 4 (now 49), a financial red V member all but 2 (as a protest against Mary) years since the JV inception and a dragons member years before that . I travel to at least 2 games in Sydney per year from QLD. Yet I should stop calling myself a dragons supporter.

Conversely, maybe it's time for you to stop accepting mediocrity, find your backbone & take a stand and let the club know that what they've been dishing up just isn't acceptable. Or, you could continue to keep your head stuck firmly in the sand and just blindly cheer the crap that we are seeing.

Yes I understand the hypocrisy I have just displayed & done exactly what I advised you not to do, but what the hell it appears to be a fast race to the bottom & I thought i'd join you for a moment.

In spite of ineptitude and sub par coaching, the players must bear some of the blame. From what I have observed, a good number of them are not of premier grade standard. Instead they seem to wander around the field like like uncoordinated crayfish. I could never see this collection of players winning a premiership,.no matter who the coach was.

Agreed Kiwi Dragon. Putting the sub par coaching aside, our players appear very inept. They are not robust big bopper hard running players in the forwards and backs, particularly the centres and wingers.

Most of the other clubs have at least two hard as nails running forwards as well as big centres. With these type of players we would be a bit more dominant in both attack and defence.

The winning/losing conundrum to make the balance more wins than losses will need to be addressed by the coaching staff quick smart. The problem is the guy that is at the helm cannot do this and the reason for this is his poor coaching skills and poor peoples management.

Winning or losing isn't really a conundrum at this point. With the Gold Coast improving there isn't a team we can win against anyway.
