North Sydney have continued a record breaking Centenary season with a Lazarus like come back from a 34-0 deficit at the 30 minute mark against the Windsor Wolves.
In a match that could be described as psychological epic, the sizeable Windsor pack took only 30 minutes to score 34 points and put the Bears in their place and the Bears took 50 minutes to rise like Lazarus and completely change the direction of the match.

Windsor scored in a blaze of glory within the first minute of the game and the domination was unrelenting. Windsor who had won 12 of their last 13 matches coming into the clash, played a strong dominant game that unsettled the make shift Bears team. The Wolves scored 6 unanswered tries with all but one converted 34-0.

But playing only his second competition match for the Bears, forward Martin Field secured the pivotal try. After a massive hit up from fellow front rower Valu Nasio and good work from half Jeremy Smith, Marty Field dived over to the right of the posts.

Strong runs from Marty Field and Yileen Gordon eventually led to the Greg Nichols break to score under the posts and make an easy conversion for George Ndaira. The Bears went to the break behind 34-12.
From a mistake the Bears were under pressure on their line early in the second half. But it would be another 40 minutes before the Wolves would break through again.
Hard fought backline movements led to tries from Nathanael Barnes and Samu Wara tries and two conversions to George Ndaira to make it 34-22.
The tables had turned and the psychological challenge fell in Windsor's court, as the Bears forwards began to dominate and the Wolves started to feel the heat.

Very effective Yileen Gordon and Daniel Sayegh runs led to debutant Isaac Gordon scoring, having already been searching for the Windsor try line a number of times prior. George Ndaira converted and the Bears edged into contention at 34-28.
Big John Tamanika broke through at the 60 minute mark allowing Jeremy Smith to find another Bears debutant in Bladen Baird. The ground erupted as he broke away and side stepped the Windsor defence like a seasoned player to find the line and score. George Ndaira again converted to lock the scores at 34-all.
Another of the Bears young guns, hooker Matt Hunt, scored the winner.

With the score 40-34 to the Bears, the Wolves scored in the dying minutes with a chance to level the ledger with a conversion. Shane Rodney's conversion left his boot and appeared headed between the posts but ultimately hit the left post and missed, leaving the final score 40-38.

Shame Windsor had to go down like that they played really well in the first half
