Michale Witt rumoured to be off to the Broncos

and

Dykes rumoured to be back at the Sharks

They did say "rumoured"

I think we knew about Dyksey, but I had not heard about Witty.

No because I believed the Jamie Lyon story, I dont believe this rubbish story about Witt leaving.

A club can show interest in a player, and a player can inturn show interest in a club whether or not they are under a contract, or before June 30. Whilst a club cant call a player and say, how bout you play for us next year...they can call the players manager and say "we want him to play here next year" and the manager can then tell his client and the client can say "well i'd like to" etc etc...and eventually people become linked to other clubs.
Now possibly this is why we are linked to Orford (we know he has had discussion with Brian), and why Dykes and Witt are rumoured to be leaving...

I can understand the logic behind releasing Dykes to get Orford but there is NO LOGIC in releasing a rising star like Witt who is signed to the club for 5 years #-o

I can see a Dykes for Orford swap, which will leave us a little worse off cash wise (if rumoured contract levels are true), but why would we release Michael Witt, after signing him up for four years during last season?

I know the off-season might not have been kind, and he found himself in premier league behind Dykes, but if Witt knows Dykes is considering leaving, then surely he'd stay to play with Orford?

If true I hope this isn't a case of the PJs again

It may not be as unbelievable as it sounds.....Witt is from Toowoomba and guess what QRL club feeds the Broncs...you got it the Toowoomba Clydesdales!!

He may be homesick???
