Poor admins isn’t an obstacle though, they are RL Scotland.
Union have to worry about themselves, it’s no good blaming union for every failing of our sport it’s boring and not a credible argument.
So what ‘federal’ funding were you talking about?

Do you want to labour that point mate? Whatever government funding. Notice you are not talking local govt?! That was mentioned. I believe that union has been doing its best everywhere to limit rugby league's existence and growth. Don't you?!

Any profits spend at least 3rd of it on development officers and send them abroad like mormons. Mostly on tier 2 and developing nations. Another 3rd on fixing up the admin side and the running of the game in these places and keep the rest and build it or use it for promotion. Dunno really, it's not a lot of money to go around.

And if you dont think rugby union has been limiting/stopping rugby league you have been living under a rock. As time moves on more and more examples are being informed of. Pretty poor assessment of rugby league's issues champ!

What local funding I didn’t see you mention one that’s why I asked again.
That’s rugby unions prerogative they look after their sport it’s just a shame league admins don’t do the same. You can bleat on about Union all you want but Scotland has a very small list of obstacles they need to beat.

From what I have heard that tge Scottish rugby league experience has featured obstacles. These obstacles are mostly a result of union spoiling tactics. Just like the many other nations/areas that have tried or are trying to start/grow RL. Seems like you are from that part of the world? Perhaos you might look into it? I'm in OZ and have seen many examples of RL copping a hard time of it in many places. Don't think I'm bleeting at all!

Then provide some examples? I live in Oz just the same as you although I’m not currently there.
This isn’t South Africa where union has a tight hold or UAE where people are getting arrested.
The national lottery certainly fund rugby league in England so I don’t see why that wouldn’t apply north of the border.
Why wouldn’t Union want to make leagues life hard? That’s just buisness.

So you think it's ok to make it difficult for another sport! Don't think neutral people would think that? I class that as unsportsmanlike and reeking of insecurity from one sport to another? Live and let live in my books. We differ. I'm glad you have mentioned a few of the worldwide examples. It shows you area aware of what's been going on. It is disturbing that you think that such behaviour is good business? Suggest it is a low act? Particularly when we are discussing the existence and opportunity for people to enjoy and play such a sport in rugby league. Maybe you don't think rugby league deserves a fair go!? Some of us do.

I don’t believe League isn’t getting a fair go in Scotland though. You have so far failed to provide any evidence it isn’t.
I don’t think the cases mentioned in UAE and SA are fair, but a sport protecting its interests at the expense of another in a fair way I can’t get upset about.
Scotland has a top tier competition on its door step, a TV deal in its market and can’t be bothered to make a go of it.
Union isn’t the problem in Scotland.

I would suggest union has its contacts in many places around the world and has used plenty of 'dirty tricks ' to foil attempts for rugby league to exist or grow. I recall some chatter about rugby league getting no favours in Scotland courtesy of some rugby union influence. In fact even when rugby league does not play in the same season as RU, reports of the barring/not allowing of players wishing to play league after playing union exist? This has happened in Ireland. Does this happen in Scotland? To my eye this is not sporting at all! It reeks of biggotry.

I don’t know you are the one making the claims I’m asking you to back the claims up.
My employer has in my contract that I am not to have another job in a similar field so it’s hardly a rugby union isssue. Why would an employer want you to get injured playing a different sport?

We are discussing amateur sport!? Don't think an employer applies! This is about the freedom to play a sport and to have another sport as an option? We differ if you don't think their is something wrong given that scenario.

Have you found any evidence this is actually happening in Scotland?
You still haven’t provided any source to show they didn’t get funding.

As I thought, you’re just making it up as you go along.

I note no answer for the amateur aspect of rugby league being not given a chance!? Certainly know where your stance is situated? Your employer argument seemed so smart till it got exposed for what it was! Crap.

Alright well done I didn’t realise you were talking about full amateurs. You showed me though.
Still waiting on you backing up your claims mind.
