Very interesting interview if anyone would like to listen. I have to say, I was and still am one of the biggest skeptics about this Toronto venture. Listening to this guy (Eric Perez) speak though does give me the feeling that really can make this a success. Let's hope so!

Wow! That was seriously impressive. He is talking about the kind of marketing, promotion and utter belief in the game of rugby league that has been so sorely lacking in the UK!!!
Furthermore, he really does know his stuff, and he has really planned this and thought it out so well. I will be watching with great interest. Go the Toronto Wolfpack!

Wow! A breath of fresh air from outside the bubble(s). It really highlights how much fans in Australia, England, France are use to having the sport being put down in the media and by others and the effect this has on their self-confidence.

Just the reality TV scouting thing is amazing. Their access to media is seriously impressive.

It is so funny to me that my very first thought when hearing this was "this is exactly how they sounded right before the Super League war"....

Such hope and optimism, thinking about how far the game could go with the right drive.

Just makes me think of all the potential squandered and the opportunities lost, not only in that event, but through all of RLs history.

I REALLY hope this one is different...

I think it's gonna be decades until RL reaches its potential. And by then, collision sports will be facing death. As with some flowers, their greatest bloom is just before they die, think this will be the same for RL.

The fella is very enthusiastic, I'll give him that. Good luck.

Also interesting to hear about the television situation, I hope he can managed to get what he is looking for.

This bloke is a legend! He virtually worked for nothing to follow a dream of bringing Rugby League to Canada.
The ticket sales sound impressive
If they manage to pull 10k to home games this bloke will be a hero in my eyes.

Good luck I hope this works out.
