That was his best performance by far Perverse. By far. My opinion. You can have yours.

That said, I did not see the Raiders game last week. If his performance was better than that then so be it.

Where did I say he has just turned the corner??? Don't take the piss and make shit up mate. He gets the credit he deserves today. Leave it at that.

A few in here did not even know he had been hooked twice this year. I don't expect them to be able to comment accurately on his form. Some think just running out and returning the ball from the kick off was good enough.

He has definitely improved since being hooked. That's a no brainer. However, what we saw today was the standard of performance he should be giving every week.
You expect him to run 21 times for 235m every week? Taking the absolute piss mate. He's been objectively excellent for the past month, opinion doesn't even come into it. That was his best performance, sure... but not by much. You asked if he can do it consistently, completely ignoring that he's been bringing that game for the past 4 weeks. He was the best forward on the field against Canberra (including their pack), and arguably best on field the 2 weeks prior to that. As consistent as any of our players at the moment bar Mullen, who is genuinely great each week.

Snowden's numbers the past 4 weeks:
vs Gold Coast: 18 Runs for 160m (Most on park for a forward) with 24 tackles (0 missed)
vs Cronulla: 17 Runs for 216m (Most on park for a forward) with 32 tackles (1 missed)
vs Canberra: 14 runs for 126m (Most on park for a forward) with 30 tackles (3 missed - but hardly unique on the day)
vs Bulldogs: 21 runs for 235m (Most on park for a forward) with 24 tackles (0 missed)

He has been aggressive and dominant in his runs in each of these games. He is in outstanding form, has been for ages.

I was worried after the 20 minute mark where we seemed to drop off a bit in intensity again and gave away some silly penalties. Luleia (spelling?) gave away a couple and made a few dumb decisions.

Great win when we needed it and managed to reclaim the 30 For/Against points we gave up to the Raiders. They need to maintain this though. Good teams dont play well one week and fold the next. No big heads boys...keep it going!!

Perverse

You sure are a manipulative little prick aren't you. The bolded text does not represent my view. Give it a break mate. Been here before with you. You can't put words in my mouth. Pull your head in.

Now, take your stats and shove them in your arse. Thought you knew better than that. It's not how many metres he makes each week, although he needs to be good in that department obviously. Do your stats include the 20+ metres he makes each time he returns the ball from the kick off Perverse???? He returned the ball at least 6 times from the kick off against Cronulla, therefore 120m+ anyone could have on their "stat" sheet.

Surely your eyes can tell the difference between and good game and an outstanding performance. His aggression for the entire time he was on the field was what made that performance yesterday a great one. He talked the talk and walked the walk. He made his tackles and pumped the ball up tirelessly. It made a world of difference to the teams performance. It is also what is expected of him, is it not?

He'll be the first prop chosen for Origin on your "sats" Perverse and we all know he aint a f**king chance of being discussed by Daley and selectors for that gig.

Yesterday was his best all round performance for us since his return. I said I didn't see the Canberra game but I'm shocked you believe he was the best forward on the park!!!!! He must have had a blinder and picked up some Dally M points.

Just accept he is getting the praise he deserves for the performance he gave yesterday. Surely that makes you happy.

Spot On you should never post when angry mate. Good on you though for standing up. However Snowy is the form prop of the NRL. Daley will look a moron if snowy does the same next week and is not chosen for June 5th.

Tbh I'd probably call fifita the form prop in the comp.

Grant, woods, tamou and fifita would all be above snowy in the pecking order, and if Daley chooses to play gallen at prop then snowy would be no chance, which is a shame as he certainly has lifted his game, but will be better for us

117m from hit ups and 30 tackles for only 3 missed in a team that got poleaxed. He was the best performing forward on the field easily. Its a pity our next best forward had about half that workload

I hope none of our players get selected for Origin. We need to focus on what's really important and that's winning club games and silencing the doubters by consolidating a top 4 position during the Origin period.

Lets bring down Souffs with our full complement of players. And have a lol@souffs afterwards.

Congratulations to the boys, good game not many errors, but in saying that I am not getting carried away yet with that win. The Dogs were woeful. But at least we are heading in right direction.

I've been a critic of Gids, but it seemed that 20 minute period was when he was off the field and we lacked a bit of direction which seems like a ridiculous thing to say

Far from angry mate. Love the banter between us all. Snowden is a touchy situation for some in here. So be it. I've called it as I see it and definitely stand by it. What I wont tolerate is having my words twisted to sound as if I was saying, thinking or implying something else.

If Snowden is selected for Origin then I'll support him 100%. I just don't think he'd be considered for the job seeing he was not considered for the Mickey Mouse City/Country game only a few weeks ago. Wouldn't think three weeks of form makes for an Origin start but stranger things have happened. There will be a meltdown on LU if he gets a start.

Massive fan of Snowden's form at the moment. Over the last month or so he's been leading by example. Not just his straight running, but also his defense, as he's been terrific at his lateral movement. He looks like he's lost a bit of weight also which appears to be helping his game.

lol, ok Spot... you can have it your way. The record shows that he's been excellent for the past month, you can disagree with that if you like... I just won't take it very seriously. He's topped the points in KOTW in the past 3 matches, and will poll well for the Dogs game, no doubt. He's actually leading KOTW outright. Pretty good for a bloke who has only just set the standard that he should play at this week, or whatever it actually is that you're trying to represent. I don't really understand your point in "giving him credit for this game and leaving it at that". Doesn't make sense to me.

Snowden has without a doubt been our best forward over the last month. No other forward comes close. In fact if Snowden wasn't there, I would hate to see what the scores would have been. Spot on, I noticed that you were trying to take some shine off Snowden's performances by commenting on the fact that he makes easy meters from the kick off. You said something like he's able to make 20 meters per hit up off the kick off. For this to be true, he'd most likely have to be catching the ball right at the dead ball line then bringing it back to the 10 meter line. I'm confident that this hasn't been the case. Generally from a kick off, the ball will be caught by a back near the goal line, a couple of seconds later it will be passed to a prop and the player takes it forward to around the 10 meter line. I don't think he was getting the easy maters that you are suggesting.

Of course he wasn't, and it completely disregards the fact that just about every other forward that has the same job as Snowy in taking the first hit up (the most difficult hitup, I might add), doesn't post the numbers that he's been posting, either... but whatever. I'm over talking about it if he's got his "opinion" and not willing to look at it objectively.

He's been as consistent as anyone in the team this year, and for the past month he's been more consistent than any other bloke on our team. He has constantly dominated his opposites physically as well as statistically. He is in great form... I can't really cut it any other way in my mind. He has been brutal, and only seems to be getting better and better. I'm loving it... I was beginning to worry than he couldn't get to the same level again. Well, he's pretty much there now. Exciting. Super exciting when you consider we have 2 more very hard men to come back into the team over the next 3-4 weeks. Who would want to f**k with our pack with Snowy in the form he's in backed up by Scott, Smith and a pissed off Mason? I mean, look at the list of blokes Snowy dominated against the Dogs. They have some f**king monsters in that pack.

Snowy is the only prop in the NRL who gets "free" metres off kick-offs and drop-outs.

Everybody else works for them.
