Great match. Great work from both teams to get so close to a result in pretty much a 3 day match, too.

Great game. I know it probably got a bit close for comfort for Australia, but seeing as they nearly got home, I hope this encourages teams to be a bit more aggressive with their declarations.

loved this test match but seriously, why was it not a 5 day test match, we should have got a result either way

Fantastic game even with the rain with all 3 results in the mix deep into the final day.

Can't believe they only play one test.

More T20's weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Who knows. Perhaps it’s fashionable like the skirts they used to play in all those years ago. Hopefully it changes soon.

The reason why women's tests are 4 days as opposed to 5 is that traditionally they have been able to bowl more overs in the day then men due to shorter bowling run ups, more spin bowlers etc. The minimum overs per day is 100 rather than 90 which gives you 400 over 4 days as opposed to 450 over 5 days.

Compare it to Sheffield Shield where there is 96 overs a day or 384 overs.

A result still should be possible if you don't fart arse around or bat negatively.

Rain happens, unless we get money to cover every ground in Australia (hopefully @baggygreen man is continuing this plan) then that's life.
