The disappointing thing is in round 3 there was a high turn over of girls suffering injuries. The 3 day rest has taken its toll, surely the organisers must think of player safety first, I hope they do a better job next time cos no way would any mens team put up with that schedule.
Your right. It's a start though.
This is the first so hopefully they can get some sponsorship, more teams involved and run it more alongside the men as curtain raisers for example. Awareness has been established and in 4 years time I'm certain it will be better all round.

The plan is to run a 8 or 10 team tournament in 2021 so it should be much more professionally set up.

I enjoy watching the ladies play (and not because I'm a red-blooded male!). The games certainly are unrefined in many ways (so many knock-ons, bad passes, ect), but I like the fact that they are players playing Rugby League, and not athletes who are being paid a lot of money to play Rugby League for a job (which is what the NRL is these days).

I've watched most of the Womens RLWC games so far, and while they've been enjoyable to watch, I find the Jillaroos are great to watch. That's not coming from a biased green-and-gold supporter, but more from the views of a Rugby League supporter.
That said, one of the Kiwi girls has fantastic tackling technique and it's fun to watch her snap a few opponents in half with a big tackle!

Except it's not the first one, in fact it is the 5th Women's World Cup

The 1st one was held in 2000 and coincided with the mens.

I hope we have at least 8 to 10 teams come 2021 RLWC.

There's plenty of potential for Women's RLWC, even if teams auto qualify for 2021 to boost its numbers let it happen.
