Thats a shame! I went there a couple of times, and thought it was pretty cool.
I liked the bush beast, old fashioned wooden roller coasters rock.

Lucky I live in qld, so much to offer :p

Theme parks don't usually get built on prime land.

Given the urban sprawl, it makes sense that the owners of the property are thinking about the potential dollars.

I guess that answers the question: Wouldn't it be wonderful in the world was Wonderland ?

A big fat No!

I am surprised it has lasted this long, the land its on is worth an absolute fortune, and if one was to build apartments on it, the value would skyrocket.
They've stated the reason for the closure as being the decline in tourism becuase of Spetember 11, Bali, Sars, etc etc.

I only went there once, and it was pretty average, had nothing on Dreamworld!

I loved that place

I only went there 3 times (the same number of times I've been in Sydney for more than 24 hours), and it's awesome.

Best theme park in Australia that I've been to. Been to - Dreamworld, Seaworld, Magic Mountain(closed down years ago), Movie World.

Sad to see it closed. But Sydney does need a Theme Park similar to Wonderland. Maybe not as far though. I Guess if it was at Homebush, everyone would go. Is there any news on Luna Park Re-opening? That was pretty cool too from what i remember of it.
