Let's make it like the old Hunter Mariners days.......where they came 2nd and then died with honour. Glory to the Mariners!!!!

I'd love to see an expanded WCC. Shorten the comp, make up for the shortfall with an 8 team WCC series.

I'd have a comp called the 'Champions Cup' which would replace the WCC as the NRL winners vs ESL winners for the right to be world champs. The Champions Cup would be played at larger venues (like now) and would switch between the northern and southern hemispheres.

Then have the World Club Challenge which would be the NRL runners up vs ESL runners up. The WCC would played at normal club venues and would be played in the opposite hemisphere to the Champions Cup.

Play both two weeks after the GFs.

The WCC should be played after the grand finals...

No to expansion of number of teams - You could end up with Manly playing Melbourne in the final...(if other countries were involved, then yes).

Hong Kong, Dubai - Please, give me a break...Leeds could not sell it out at home, what is the possibility of selling it out in countries that have no interest in Rugby League..

This is pie in the sky stuff..

Keep it to the 2 teams but best of 3 games. One in each country plus a decider.

Maybe they should hold games between the wooden spooners from each competition so teams that get the wooden spoon get the chance to win a silver spoon instead.

We can have long discussions about which teams are crapper. It's a loser for sure!

Taking it to Dubai/middle east, etc is a ridiculous idea. If this ever happens it can't be an exhibition match played in front of people who don't give a sh*t. Play it in UK/France and Australia/NZ.

This would only work i reckon if rugby league wasnt just mainly round aus/eng comps. soccer works because pretty much all of europe has strong competition

I wouldn't be against a 2 team, 2 leg comp. ESL GF winner against NRL GF winner. Game 1 in UK, Game 2 in AUS. The following year, alternate the venues, ect. Winner to be won either outright (2 wins) or by aggregate (I don't know how they'd work out the countbacks, but I'm sure they could do it). Or perhaps have a 3 leg comp, with a 3rd and deciding game being played (if necessary) either back in the country of the 1st game, or for convenients sake, in the same country as game2.

Nah would eat into the Int calendar time too much. Just one game, hype the heck out of it, get a major sponsor on board, city/stadium to bid to host it, $1million to the winner, winner takes all. Should draw 50,000 at least if marketed right.
