Junior Paulo has had a rough year started by just putting on a parra jersey then he lost origin then grand final now World Cup

If Daniel Tupou could catch Cleary, Yeo and Martin would have had perfect seasons.

Similar to Cronk and Smith in 2017.

I'm not the most knowledgeable student out there. The game highlighted to me how much you have to nail down your defensive plans, of which we're the beneficiary of in the past 2 nrl seasons.

Big World Cup for our guys. Cleary and Luai in particular coming through with their resumes enhanced is big for us going into 2023 with a weaker hooking situation, they’ll both take a lot from the experience playing in a different set up with different elite players. Clearys short passing to high quality line runners was on full display which we don’t normally see. While less crucial, Martin and Critta proved they belong at the highest level which should do wonders for their confidence. Also nice experience for Luke and Turuva who could be important guys in our next few seasons.

The tall poppy syndrome is alive and well, or was.

The Aussies may well have won the World Cup with DCE in the 7, they were the tournament’s best side even allowing for the narrow semi final win.

No one, even the haters can deny Nathan Cleary was worthy of being the number one starting half back for the Kangeroos. He got the job done.
