The guys who were truly shown up were the Manly Forwards, the Hooker, the halfback and the Hammer.

The Coach is trash. There was zero cohesion in the defence, it's like they almost never trained together.

The Samoan team were handed 2 complete winger/centre combinations and totally flubbed it.

A group of current and former professional Samoan rugby league players have raised concerns over their coach, Matt Parish, who according to them has not performed well enough to continue as head coach due to the poor showings in the 2013 and 2017 World Cups.

Things have become so bad that in February a petition was leaked to The Daily Telegraph calling for the sacking of Parish (a copy of the petition can be found here).

The Samoa coach has a win rate of just 27 per cent since the 2014 Four Nations and the letter accompanying the petition stated it was “was a vote of no confidence” in his leadership.

Parish claims they were coerced into signing it. Soliola (Captain during the 2013 WC) argues that wasn't the case. Tony Puletua has also questioned how the team is run along with other big names.

I also found it very strange that the Johns brothers were putting their hand up to coach Samoa when the position was never up for grabs.

When you concede 60 with the squad they had on paper then you just know something is up.

Man this stuff is getting really boring tbh. I don’t care about Burton Luai debate at all anymore but the double standards you display when talking about Luai are pretty clear. If Nath plays shit in an origin game you talk about the forwards being dominated there’s nothing he could do etc but Jarome plays shit in an even more dominated side it’s Jerome’s being found out burtons so much better etc. Burton wouldn’t have done anything playing in that Samoa side last night they were thoroughly dominated in every aspect. Andrew johns and Thurston in the halves wouldn’t have made a difference. Get over Burton no matter how much you death ride Luai burtons never going to put on a Penrith jumper again.
