And at 2:36am local time, Australia finally win ;-) Apparently there will be another insufferable closing ceremony before the actual presentation of the trophy, by which time it will be almost sunrise.

Clearly the Windies should never host another cricket world cup until they have lights. The length of the world cup is also ridiculous. Five weeks maximum. No Super Eights - too many teams and too many dead-rubbers. Super Six worked fine. Knockout finals would work just as well. All of this, however, couldn't erase the fact that Australia were and are still clearly the best side in the world. By the time the next world cup starts, it will have been over twelve years since we lost a game in the world cup.
