A total of 11 players with samoan heritage in that grand final. Cleary might be the only Australian in that Panthers team in 3 years 😂😂😂😂

CHT is not an organising 7 and kicks terribly out of his own half. An old experienced head at half that still has a proven bag of tricks is needed. Milford had a admirable season if you take into account the Souths drama. Also has never had a bad game for Samoa.
He'd compliment Luai perfectly.
Great kicking game, good organiser and will give Luai quality early ball.
Samoa needs a cool head like him.

Milford is the absolute last thing they need

May has been immense for Catalan this year. The perfect utility for this tournament and offers more threat with the ball than CHT & Brown.

Has he played much at lock? I don't watch any SL but there must be a reason why he got picked for Samoa.

Lock, Centre and a bit in the Halfs. Catalans went on a decent run due to his form.
That's good to hear. That number 14 will be contested by alot of players. CHT, May, Brown and Hammer. I think it'll come down to May and Hammer.

With Taupau starting at 13 I could see May coming on after 25 mins and playing that classic Queensland 14 Cronk/Morgan/Hunt role to give them that tip on threat with Paulo on attacking sets.

Its important that Parish doesn't ask too much from Luai steering the pack around. Not his game.

Milford, Paulo and May could do the heavy lifting so to speak and then go to Suaalii and Luai for big plays inside the opposition 30.

That could be the difference against England. And Luai suits being the backup that picks his moments like how he does with the panthers. I don't know if your a English fan but if you are what's samoa's chances against England? Its hard to judge the English team because I don't watch any SL

I am very much an English fan and I think this first game is a coin flip. We have no genuine depth in key positions and our most influential players (Lomax and Tomkins) are badly banged up.

Head says England by 4 and only because we have a warm up game and home ground advantage while you Uso's are going in cold.

All I can say is the English will be very tough at home and it should be a very close game. What a world cup this is going to be

Think they're 7 now because May pulled out. Same number as the Kiwis. Funnily enough some of those kiwis have samoan heritage as well
Wow, crazy number of Samoans and Kiwis (take that Tonga). One of those Samoans is a former Junior Kiwi captain and has played for the Maori All Stars (TBF he has tried to play for every team possible).

Tony Gigot is one of the most rocks and diamonds halfs in the world. Kicks more 40/20's than anyone in SL or NRL and can be Cody Walker like on his day. If you guys underestimate France (and you will) they could absolutely take you into the 70th minute. Set your alarm clock. I think France have more than a chance.

I honestly don't think you've watched many of his games.
Milford doesn't provide direction for himself! Literally the biggest killer for Samoa will be a Milford brain explosion ( almost a certainty)

Tavita 7
Milford 14

If you're talking about that finals game they lost souths your way too harsh on the kid. He showed alot of potential and he almost broke the line most of the time. But also his age and inexperienced showed too by not letting the ball go out wide. Even Billy Slater was impressed by how much potential he showed in that game. You've also got to remember Suaali'i probably hasn't trained at fullback all year being behind Teddy and Manu. And than he was rushed in to one of the most intense game of the year. All I know is england loves kicking high balls at the back everytime they play samoa and having Suaali'i back there would make a huge difference
" every time they play Samoa " ?
When was the last time they played ?🤣
