anyone with some form of brain could see that all eddie would do was embarass australian rugby even further and make us the laughing stock of the international rugby community. if you have some actual evidence of eddie building a side for the 2007 world cup, then i might start to believe you, because broad generalistations accompanying the deification of your favourite locals cut no ice when it comes to forming a logical argument.

Here's one:

In 2005, the Wallabies blooded 14 players - more than at any time in the last 25 years.

And how many minutes per test did they get? All of 5 minutes usually! That is hardly blooding mate!

Was John Mitchell offered a place on anyone else's staff, Japan or otherwise when he was sacked by NZ? No. But we all still regard him as a good coach. As I said, Eddie has at least one national team offer and a few European club offers.

John Mitchell was headhunted by British clubs as soon as he was sacked.

He took time out, then took over Waikato, and then got the Force job.

I'm aware of that. That was in response to people saying that because Jones hadn't immediately been offered positions with other nations, he was no good.

Like Mitchell, Jones has received offers from British clubs. What I meant was that Mitchell wasn't immediately head-hunted by other national teams, but that doesn't mean he's a bad coach. Quite the opposite.
