Scotland had 4 teams in 2004, but Portobello dropped out. There were 6 in 2003 and 8 in 2002. A downward trend reversed last year perhaps, but they certainly didn't have 2 teams before last year.

The fact that they'd convincingly beat Russia on field has to count for something, even though the Russian domestic comp's stronger. (there's more teams in Wales, and also in Ireland, than in Russia, although the standards in Ireland are lower)

hey if they had a SL player, A NL1 player and 4 NL3 players in their team they could make it.

it would be a f**king tough ask but they could.

Dutch guys playing in the pro ranks in the Uk and ALL hold Dutch passports apart from one who I believe has Dutch parents.(Background work still being done on this one )

Tim Jonkers- Salford City Reds Bron Amsterdam
Nathen Meriscke - London Skolars - Dutch Parent.
Dayne Nyreck - Halifax - Dutch parents.
Alan Barker - London Skolars - Dutch Parents.
Alex Smits - London Skolars - Dutch parents (Alex is currently back in NZ after playing in both the Euroe Nations B games last year)
Jace van Dijk - Celtic Crusaders - Dutch Parents.

All the following guys were born in Holland and play in the English amatuer divisions.

Martijn Jonkers St Helens Vine Born Amsterdam
Joel Barrett Shefield Halem University Born Dieren
Phil Parkinson Nottingham Outlaws Born Monster
Kees Foxon Nottingham Outlaws Born Den Hauge
Steven Rhodes eastmoor Dragons Born Hoofdorp.

Also playing in Engalnd.
Aaron de Jager St Helens Vine/Robertson Spuddies in Aussie- Dutch father.

Last season Jorik Moree played his League in England at Essex Eels.
Currently back at RC Rotterdam.

Add the local players who played in the 2004/2005 season's
and we are geting together a handy squad together IF they can be released for the WCQ games (thats if we meet the criteria before february and apply to enter).
Should be able to at least be competative.
