Would love to see a match up between all time NSW and all time Barbados XI, imo the two states/counties/provinces that have produced the best cricketers over time. Note this will be players produced by NSW so the likes of Miller, MacGill etc not available

NSW XI
Victor Trumper
Arthur Morris
Don Bradman
Doug Walters
Steve Waugh
Allan Border
Alan Davidson
Ray Lindwall
Bert Oldfield (wk)
Bill O'Reilly
Glenn McGrath

Jeff Thomson (12th)

Wicket keeper seems to be the position NSW has struggled with, After Oldfields 50 odd tests Stumper Kelly and Haddin are the only other significant contributers to the post. Tempted to pick Gilly at 7 but he made his name at WA (still produced by us) and in a side that bats like this and bats down to Davidson and Lindwall may as well go for the keeper with 52 test stumpings in a side with O'Reilly.

Barbados XI
Gordon Greenidge
Desmond Haynes
Frank Worrell (c)
Everton Weekes
Clyde Walcott (wk)
Garry Sobers
Seymour Nurse
Malcolm Marshall
Joel Garner
Wes Hall
Charlie Griffith

Conrad Hunte (12th)

Fair argument for Hunt opening ahead of one of Greenidge or Haynes but hard to break up that famous combo. Unbelieveable middle order. Like NSW seems to lack keepers, thus gave the gloves to Walcott. Spin could be shared by Sobers and Worrell. Team a little unbalanced due to lack of genuine keeper so Nurse at 7 was a pretty hard hitting batsmen, all four fast bowlers are crackers.

Would love to see this match up. After Bradman the Weeks, Walcott and Sobers batting lineup comes ahead of the NSW one. NSW Possibly better overall bowling lineup. Garner and Marshall better, but the all four NSW bowlers very close, and a better legspinner.

Would make for some epic cricket

What about Yorkshire?

1 Herbert Sutcliffe
2 Geoff Boycott
3 Leonard Hutton
4 Maurice Leyland
5 Michael Vaughan
6 Rob Blakey (I'm sure there has to be a better keeper in their history... no one comes to mind but)
7 Wilfred Rhodes
8 Johnny Wardle
9 Bob Appleyard
10 Hedley Verity
11 Fred Trueman

someone else did it as

Yorkshire XI

Geofffrey Boycott
Len Hutton
Herbert Sutcliffe
Maurice Leyland
Stanley Jackson
Wilfred Rhodes
Ray Illingworth*
David Bairstow+
Johnny Wardle
Fred Trueman
Chris Old

Hedley Verity

Sensational top three, no doubt. Trueman and Wardle good also. Not as much class across the board as the other two mentioned IMO but still would make for good cricket

The Yorkshire production line has dropped off a fair bit also
