Worst and best bar/pub in Sydney

Well, there is a lot of competition

As i generally only drink the cbd, ill limit my comments to these pubs:

Top 5 worst bar/pubs in sydney:

Jacksons on George - Freaking dive, sticky floor 24/7 and overpriced beers

The Orient - Gorillas posing as security, big buffoons and zero atmosphere inside

The CBD - An absolute dive and to top it off, they only serve schmiddies (wankers)

Bar 333 - WTF is the smell inside this pub? Its disgusting and the food is horrid

Establishment - Complete cockfest and incredibly overrated

Dishonourable mentions to Martin Place Bar, Paragon and Settlement

Best 5

Fortune of War - Great atmosphere on a friday night

Forbes - Old school, cheap beers, good service

Arthouse - A little wanky but a well laid out venue with a touch of class

Chambers - Good vibes, good music, goes hard on a friday night

GPO - OK, a bit wanky but not a bad spot if you just want to spend the night talking to someone

Honourable mentions to the Lord Nelson and Metropolitan

Bar 333 is on George Street right?? Mates have told me it's a hole...

I love Irish pubs. Scruffy Murphy's on Golbourn Street is where i do most of my drinking. It has the added bonus of being next to a strip joint and a kebab shop...

Lowenbrau Keller at The Rocks is up there. Stay away from the coke and beer combo though. It's a killer... Love the mango ones though...

The Lincoln Bar and Tilbury Hotel are my usual haunts along with the Woolloomooloo Bay Hotel

The occidental is an alright pub for a few bevies during lunch break at work. Across the road from the Governors pleasure as well.

Ahh yes...the old hit n' run...

I was at Roselands bowling club about 3 years ago for the final state of origin match. There was about 15 of us in the back room watching the big screen. About 10 minutes after the match is finished, in runs 5 blokes with knives and bats and whatnot ready to rob the place. Two of them horde us into the back room and make us face down onto the tables while the others rob the joint. Enter my mate...F**king off his face...stumbles out of the toilet and taps one of them on the shoulder and says to him 'I'm wasted bro'. The bloke tells him to sit the f**k down and another mate takes him by the arm and pulls him down. He then starts giggling. The people in the front room got all their sh*t stolen... It was over in about 2 minutes...

i have to say that the clock in surry hills goes ok as well if you're willing to venture a little bit from the cbd. the dolphin is passable as well

Courthouse hotel- Newtown, is great. Worst would be Jacksons on George in the CBD.

Blue Cattle Dog @ St Clair is without a doubt the best pub in the country.

the Colyton Pub is probably the worst

boyle's at sutherland is probably the worst pub i've been to

oatley is full of shire f**kwits

vegas bar at kings cross is sh*t

jacksons as mentioned was rubbish and terrible "nightclub"

equilibrian is alright

cheers isn't bad

alot of my local one's like penshurst and mortdale are alright to stay at home in

miridian is sh*t and only good because of street fighter

hill st is probably behind boyle's as worst pub i've been to

intersection is good until 8pm and all the roid junkies turn up

carlton is good for a fight

bennelong is sh*t, same deal as the intersection without the "good until"

Oatley is not in the shire you 'tard and since you live in two pubs, your future seems as bright as the 2 month old piss puck in the bottom of the trough.
