Shane Endacott, Brady Malam, Se'e Solomona

What was wrong with Solomona and Malam? Both were solid front rowers who I would have rated over Platt during his time at the Club. And then you consider that they had players like Pongia, Vagana and Kearney around them vieing for first grade spots as well.

I'm thinking TL and Nielson will be right up there...for the amount we're probably paying them, relative to the amount of time i think
they will both spend in the Vulcans, over the term of their contracts, they are looking like some expensive injury cover.

They will both probably play a fair bit next season, but the 2 years after that im not confident they'll be able to hold their spots,
especially Nielson.

I'm prepared to bet you Nielsen never plays for the Vulcans, unless it is on return from significant injury. Leuluai, I can go with.

I just watched TL play for wigan in Superleague a week or so back. He was outstanding. He has got better and better. The first time I saw him play was for the Junior Kiwis v Oz. I guess 2004? Mighta been 2003.

But I couldn't work out what the hype was about. He was a plodder at that level then. But he is getting dynamic in England now. What is he, 27, 28?

All things considered I think Matthew Ridge is actually the Warriors worst signing.

He was on a crazy amount of $$$...a real shit load if I remember correctly. It was the SL era, and he was one of the highest paid players in the world. I remember Graham Lowe came out and said Ridge was getting paid more a month than most people did in a year.

Ridge was always getting injured or suspended. Who can ever forget his pushing of the referee and Lesley Vainikolo eye gouge suspensions?

I remember people saying that he was getting himself suspended on purpose just so he didn't have to play. It certainly looked that way.

His Warriors team mates also hated him.

Those were the dark days of the Warriors so I don't remember too much of it. But from what I do remember he always looked bored and lethargic, a far cry from his Manly days. The same could be said for almost all of our imports back then, they just plain didn't give a toss.

Robert Mears and Oudenryn were exceptions.

btw who remembers Carl Doherty?

The white haired dude? I remember him, but I don't know why I remember him. Probably the albino white hairdo.

On TL, he may be a better signing than some people think. I didn't rate him at all when he was here last, however he was very young & got most of his 1st grade time in a team that was in all kinds of disarray. From what I've seen in the ESL, he's much improved as an athlete and a ballplayer. How much of this transfers over to the weekly grind of the NRL we'll have wait & see.

Leuluai played for the Kiwis in 2003 AND 2004. He is the second youngest ever Kiwi behind Dennis Williams. And he is still only 26 now!

I'm not saying he's the most brilliant player out but he has a pretty extraordinary resume for a bloke who seemingly no-one rates. Played a shitload of first-grade and 30 tests (must be one of the most capped players ever??) and still only 26.

Yeah I've never rated him as a great player or was rapt with his signing or anything, but the shit he has been copping on here is ridiculous, especially when it's bee made out that he will be replacing Thurston at 5/8th or something.

What shit? The worst I have seen is your " I've never rated him as a great player" type comment.

Crazy to think Leuluai is only 26. Many players are just breaking into first grade a year or two younger.

TL got put through a very steep learning curve at a young age, at the very least he'll be a pretty street-wise player.

Ok, back up why TL has been one of the worst buys ever for the Warriors? Convince me of that logic with out ever seeing him play a game.
To me stating this now is being a sniveling whiny sook & completely illogical.

Yeah he was the mantis goal kicker and that's it, i'm sure I won some money with this guy kicking, oh nah that was cleary LOL

On the subject we havent had a decent goal kicker for a while I hope our big signing to come has a good boot.

Try not to label people haters, just because you dont agree with them, it's a little pathetic, and a big bit whiny.
