Worst Defender In The Nrl

Luke Lewis surely. How many times has he raced in from the wing to let in a try? Also Lee Hookey almost single handedly, with a little help from Garth Wood, lost the game for Souths against Brisbane last Saturday.

You're joking about Lewis surely. I tell my young bloke to watch Lewis when he tackles. Straight out of the text book. He might read the occasional play poorly, but his tackling technique is amoungst the best in the NRL.

Turnstile Chris Walker for me, then daylight, then maybe Preston Campbell

The fact the little fella got knocked out the other month due to his bad tackling technique, shows not only is he statistically bad, but technically bad too

Preston has a pretty big disadvantage when it comes to tackling. I'm sure if he was bigger he'd have a better success rate...as he does try... you've got to give him that. He's not a shirt grabber or anything.

Of the others, Ben and Chris Walker and George Carmont are pretty bad. And I almost had a heart attack every time Billy Slater had to defend on the wing for QLD last year.

For a fullback it'd have to be Hunt

He's not crash hot, but Peachey is a shocking defender for a fullback. Most of the time, even 1 on 1 Peachey will go for the "intercept" with no dummy required.
