Interestingly Parramatta are the only team to not have players involved in an off field scandal over the last decade.

It depends where you draw the line at what's considered a "scandal". It's a media term really. We've had our fair share like most other clubs have the past decade. Perhaps to a lesser extent but we've had still had them.

Hayne didn't start the fight, he stepped in to defend Gaz.

Carney's drink driving incident was blown out of preportion because it wasn't the first time he did it. The fall out after the Watt's incident was ridiculous. All he did was break a promise not to drink, alcoholics do that. He wasn't the first Rooster's player to promise not to drink and do so. Hell when Freddy was coach he promised not to and broke the promise.

The NRL and Australian society glorify drinking. Players are surrounded by alcohol adverticements when they're playing.

The amount of times we were called chokers because of that prelim versus the amount of times Parramatta, the 2005 minor premiers no less, were called chokers probably exemplifies the way we have built up resentment to every no-name nuffie troll.
