Worst halftime entertainment ever

Halftime is usually spent urinating, getting another tray of beers, chatting with the people in the seats around me and ringing centrebet to see whatthe live odds are. Aslong as my ears don't get raped by someone who came 6th in Australias got talent i'm not really bothered.

Halftime entertainment should be kids playing a 5 min game or some comp where the audience members have to catch a bomb for cash (bomb = ball kicked high in the air)

Yeah that dance thing last night was ridiculous. Felt sorry for them getting booed off the ground, good luck to them dancing like that and having fun but someone should have realised it wasnt exactly the best time/place to do it. I got no idea what place it has at the football.

I enjoyed the Bulldogs pre match and halftime entertainment Vs Manly earlier this year. Not sure if they always have the blokes from Fat Pizza, but I thought it was great the way they got the whole crowd involved.

On saturday night they had the "Ben Barba shop" set up in one of the bays offering $10 penis cuts to all comers, a shuffle cam before the game, and a kebab (or may have been hotdog?) eating contest at half time.

They certainly knew their demographics when coming up with the entertainment, thats for sure

should have a chilli eating contest, who doesn't enjoy seeing people in pain after scoffing down 3 Trinidad Moruga Scorpions?

I remember getting to play at halftime once at a Norths v Manly game. I spent the entire time trying to look as elite as possible . I remember spitting alot because I thought 'that's what the first graders do.' I got smacked something chronic afterwards for it!

the Milk Crates one sounds awesome.

Stick to the kids running around. It's a great experience.

Pretty much any kind of marketing-focused fan competition is bloody horrendous. Pushing a big ball with the sponsor on it through a course. Some contrived relay where you have to put on a jersey, pass a ball through something etc. All utterly ridiculous.

I also can't stand it when some unknown musician it thrown out there to play 3 songs nobody in the ground has ever heard of to launch their pop album.

Put on 2 games of junior footy, with a catch the bomb comp in between them. Sorted.

Sorry we don't have a full theatrical production sourced directly from Broadway New York.

Are you the same sort of person who watches TFS every week solely to complain about it?

Halftime entertainment is what it is. Kids playing U6 or U8 games out on either end of the field with some sort of silly promotion (kick a ball, put a jersey on, run 50m etc; or a Coke Zero kick the ball off the crossbar)... that's all it is and all it needs to be - you won't get everyone's attention anyway ffs

The great Billy idol "just waiting for some poooowaaaaa" was a classic. Also Anzac Day this year when the dog wouldn't let go of the match ball was pretty good (pre-match though)
That's pre-match though, we're talking HT :p

Yup, Rob Shehadie and Tahir Bilgic are our PA's now, stole them from Parramatta. It's really well run, love what they do. Gets the crowd involved and interested more than anyone before.

Well, it's good to see the Lebanese Rambo and Habib are doing something productive since Pizza ended. Somebody should really stop giving Paully the money to make TV Shows. Think I lasted about the first five minutes of 'Housos'...

This is pre-match but I think it was game 2, origin 2004 (the one where slater chipped over mini) where a band called Chump actually rapped the starting lineups.

Comprehension not your strong point?

I said that half time entertainment should be confined to 2 games of junior footy + 1 game of catch a bomb in the middle of the field.

The stupid "run here, tackle that, kick this, push this giant something, eat that" garbage they try and come up with most weekends is poo, and a complete waste of money.

If they want to get sponsors involved, then grab a t shirt gun and shoot merchandise into the crowd. People go bat shit crazy for free t shirts

I boo'd them. Felt bad, but I thought it was my civic duty.

 I did too, looking back on it i feel kinda bad for the kids who were dancing but what an awkward feel in the crowd while they were dancing and that horrible music was playing.

Forget dancers, etc...........keep it simple. Have a couple of junior kids games for 5 minutes, or the simply stick with something like the catch the bomb contest.
