Just reviving this thread because I didnt want to make a new one for such a small chunk of info.
Anyway, apparently the gong must go to Busta Rhymes, for involving himself in possibly the most poorly-organised gig ever staged in Sydney.
Some friends of mine paid $97 to see Busta and his Flipmode Squad at Luna Park last night. It was an all-ages show, yet alcohol was readily available to anyone with the money to buy it. That's all well and good I guess.
There was no support acts, just a DJ or two spinning the usual hip-hop club hits, which understandably became tedious after 4 solid hours. The crowd became rowdy, shouting and pleading for the actual show to start. Finally, at 11.30 or so, management took the stage to announce that Busta won't be performing tonight. Sorry. LMAO. Please make your way to the exits where you will receive the paperwork you need that will get you a refund. Apparently only the heavy security presence prevented a full-blown riot lol. Of course the lunacy didnt end there. Said 'paperwork' was nothing more than a raffle ticket stub! People were going from one door to the next and helping themselves to as many tickets they could get and, feasibly, as many refunds as they wanted! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Btw, I wasn't one of the poor saps in attendance, and I have alibis to prove it.
