Worst NRL Commentator

Andrew Moores negativity can become over-powering during a call, Mark Braybrook sounds like he doesnt know whats going on during a game (fancy pairing him with Freeman), Ray Warren is almost past his use-bye date and Andy Raymond puts a Y on the end of everyones name.

Someone give Peter Wilkinson a job, please.

I think that Rabs and Gould need to learn that repeating themselves is very annoying. Gould is the worst at it.

And Rabs just finds one almost irrelevant fact and won't let go of it. I wouldn't mind sometimes but when he is so wrong about it, it get very irritating.

I don't have foxtel so I can't comment on them but one of the worst is the Triple M in Sydney MNF. They are awful.

I would say in order of most worst to least worst:

1. Cronk (its not right or just that he makes money from this pursuit)
2. Blocker (I am guessing he gets paid peanuts and is just happy to have a job)
3. One of the guys I had to listen to on BarTV (he would be doing it for free though so no big deal).

Walters Alexander Blocker on Fox. There are probably others on Fox but I can't think of them atm. I have others but they're on Nein so I only have to put up with them 4 times a year.

I like Ennis Cronk and Lara Pitt.

I've decided to end Kayo for a while cause the Dogs have heaps of games on channel 9. Not looking forward to hearing Matt Thompson, but at $45 a month, I will put up with that for a while until I've had enough and think $45 is a small price to pay. Thing is Kayo on those Channel 9 games always put idiots like Blocker on to provide commentary, so it's not like it's any better.

Cronk has his detractors but he actually demonstrates that he has a working brain on ocassion. So he is already out of the running for worst commentator.

Ray back in the 90s was easily the best radio commentor going around. He could make the worst match sound like it was a classic. He was not a good TV commentor though as he continued to think that we couldn't see the events with our own two eyes.

Matt Thompson is the worst of the main callers. I actually dont mind Psaltis and Brenton Speed.

Vossy annoys me when he goes on his spectrum tangents but he's probably the best of the main commentators.

Warren Smith bothers the shit out of me.

I actually like Blocker because he's so dumb and harmless. Did you see him on the pre-game during some of the trials? There's just nothing happening upstairs. I'd rather a dumb idiot than an egoist. It is rugba leeg after all.

He's nowhere near the Andy Raymond/Mark Braybrook/Ray Hadley level where their involvement actively undermines the possible enjoyment of the game.

He's just saying what he's told to say. In the manner they want him to say it.
